Dr.Merchant has a Bachelors’ Degree from the University of South California, a Master's in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics and a Masters in Theology from Talbot School of Theology, and a Masters in Christian Apologetics from Biola Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion and Theology from Claremont Graduate University. Today’s featured guest is Dr. Marcus Peter Johnson who is Professor of Theology at Moody Bible Institute. He holds a BA in Theology from the Moody Bible Institute, a Master of Arts in Systematic Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a PhD from the University of Toronto. Along with writing his doctoral dissertation on union with Christ in the theology of John Calvin, he is also the author of One with Christ: An Evangelical Theology of Salvation, he is also the coauthor (with John C. Clark) of The Incarnation of God: The Mystery of the Gospel as the Foundation of Evangelical Theology, and he is also the co-author (with John C. Clark) of the book “A Call to Christian Formation: How Theology Makes Sense of Our World.” He and his wife, Stacie, live in Chicago with their three sons, and serves as an associate rector at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Geneva.

She has a BA from Arizona State University, a MA in Theology, a MA in Psychology, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology all from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Gorton is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has worked as a change agent for individuals, organizations, and emerging leaders, helping them refine, embrace, and thrive in their purpose. Built on the foundation of relationship, her core philosophy is that collaboration in community produces radical transformation.
