She earned her M.A.in English from Northeastern Illinois University, an M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy, and Rhetoric from The University of Illinois at Chicago. She is also the author of the book “Unseduced and Unshaken: The Place of Dignity in a Young Woman's Choices” and has been an editor for over 11 books with Moody Publishers. In addition to teaching, she regularly appears on Moody Broadcasting Network programs as a guest and co-host, and speaks at conferences and seminars

Today’s featured guest is Dr. Marcus Peter Johnson who is Professor of Theology at Moody Bible Institute. He holds a BA in Theology from the Moody Bible Institute, a Master of Arts in Systematic Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a PhD from the University of Toronto. Along with writing his doctoral dissertation on union with Christ in the theology of John Calvin, he is also the author of One with Christ: An Evangelical Theology of Salvation, he is also the coauthor (with John C. Clark) of The Incarnation of God: The Mystery of the Gospel as the Foundation of Evangelical Theology, and he is also the co-author (with John C. Clark) of the book “A Call to Christian Formation: How Theology Makes Sense of Our World.” He and his wife, Stacie, live in Chicago with their three sons, and serves as an associate rector at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Geneva.

She has a BA from Arizona State University, a MA in Theology, a MA in Psychology, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology all from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Gorton is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has worked as a change agent for individuals, organizations, and emerging leaders, helping them refine, embrace, and thrive in their purpose. Built on the foundation of relationship, her core philosophy is that collaboration in community produces radical transformation. Dr.Gorton is also the co-host of the "Becoming Well" podcast with Moody Radio where she and Dr.Mary Hendrickson discuss how the truth of God’s word intersects with your mental health andwell-being.
