Stephen Grootes speaks to Patrick Dlamini, CEO of the Public Investment Corporation about the PIC’s 2025/26 performance, with assets under management rising 20% to R3.657 trillion despite R172 billion in net client outflows. The PIC’s net profit also increased 70% to R869 million, while its major client portfolios delivered strong returns against their CPI+ targets. 

In other interviews,  Graham Lee, CEO of Capitec talks about the bank’s strong first-half performance, with headline earnings rising 19% to R9.5 billion and return on equity at 31%. Growth was broad-based across Personal Banking, Business Banking, Fintech and Insurance, while active clients increased to 26.6 million and fully banked clients rose 11% to 10.4 million.
