This year's Easter Monday saw Samantha's kid get into a bike park accident in Cape Town, requiring emergency stitches at a local hospital. Because it was a public holiday and the admin staff was off work, the administrative officer promised to send them the paperwork. Driving to the hospital after three weeks, she was told to leave her email address and the report would be emailed to her. She was informed she'd need to pay R850 for a report signed by a doctor or R350 for a clinical report completed by a nurse after yet another lengthy delay.
