Former state president Kgalema Motlanthe will be on the ANC campaign trail in Diepkloof, Johannesburg. Motlanthe joins Thabo Mbeki as the latest former president to campaign for the ANC in the hotly contested Gauteng province. The African National Congress has set the date for a disciplinary hearing against former President Jacob Zuma. Closing arguments in AKA, Tibz murder case bail application.

I’ll profile Anele Mda, Sesing Ramotswabodi, and Tshepo Mogano. State witness in Meyiwa trial to be quizzed about cellphone data. AKA and Tibz: The state and defence have both argued their case in this high-profile murder case about bail. The matter returns to court; chances are the court will issue a judgment after closing arguments on whether or not the group must be given bail. Defence attorneys will try to punch holes in the State's case as the trial against alleged underworld kingpin Nafiz Modack continues in the Western Cape High Court today (Thursday). Modack and his fourteen co-accused face 124 charges related to various crimes -- including the murder of top cop Charl Kinnear.
