Studies conducted in conjunction with University of the
Witwatersrand and Stellenbosch University shows that The
number of new mothers between the ages of 10 and 14, giving
birth at public health facilities in
South Africa, has risen by almost 50% in the past four years.
These statistics are disguised as teenage pregnancies, when in
fact the evidence points to statutory rape.
