Today, we’re slowing things down and reconnecting with creativity in
one of its most grounding forms… clay.
We’re exploring pottery: a hands-on craft that’s all about patience,
touch, and trusting the process.
Guiding us is Nadine Da Silva, a South African ceramic artist and
entrepreneur who turned a single pottery class into a nationally
recognised creative business.
Nadine discovered clay in her late teens, walked away from varsity, and
committed fully to mastering her craft – opening her first studio at just
25, right before the pandemic.
Instead of closing doors, she rebuilt and reimagined her business through take-home kits, pop-ups, and constant experimentation.
Today, she’s the co-founder of Crafted Clay, a growing pottery studio
offering immersive pottery experiences, ceramic art, large-scale bisque
supply, and team-building sessions.
