Cake Artist, Philanthropist and Entrepreneur Simphiwe
Nzuza is a 28 year old Culinary arts Graduate.
While growing up in the greater parts of KwaZulu-
Natal, Chef Nzuza started his vocation at an early age,
making mud cakes and presenting them to his family.
Chef Nzuza completed his three year Culinary Arts
Course in Sugar craft and pastry through Capsicum
Culinary Studio, walking away with distinctions in his
final theory and practicals.
Soon after graduating, Chef Nzuza gained experience
when he worked as a junior pastry chef at the
Westcliff Four Seasons hotel and spent 6 Months In
Dubai working as a cake artist.
After the Dubai experience, Nzuza worked in corporate
for two years to gain experience and more insight on
how to run a business and to learn from the best in
the business on what it takes to make a good
entrepreneur.
He worked for a family operated property developing
company that has been around for 125 years.
Chef Nzuza has an NGO called The House of Gertrude
Nzuza, in honour of his late grandmother- Thandiwe
Gertrude Nzuza) which aims to better the lives of
woman and children.
On a monthly basis they give away a birthday cake to
children less privileged who have never had a birthday
cake before.
The Chef Nzuza and Co. previously known as Chef
Zondi And Co. Patisserie launched in October 2020,
which is a family business that specialises in oven
baked goods, prepared to perfection.
Chef Nzuza has been featured in reality shows such as
The real Housewives of Johannesburg, The Real
housewives of Durban, Life with Kelly Khumalo, Wedding Chefs and has catered for various celebrities.
