This podcast explores how podcast creation supports English learners (ELs) by combining inquiry, multimodal composing, and authentic oral practice. Research shows that producing podcasts enhances vocabulary, fluency, and confidence while fostering collaboration, identity expression, and translanguaging. As a form of project-based learning, podcasting also builds research and critical thinking skills through source evaluation and storytelling. When scaffolded effectively, podcast projects provide equitable, engaging opportunities for ELs to develop both academic language and content knowledge.
