It's Mega Giveback Monday and Kyle & Jackie are giving back to families struggling the most. Have a listen to the emotional rollercoaster for all the info...

Kyle and Jackie os Mega give Back Monday.

Mega give Back Monday, all thanks to John and Joeanne Navara's charity, Miracle Millions. Wonderful family. They've done a great job over the years and they've done very well for himself, and John and Joanne have decided to come and hear and give us a whole heap of money to help people in the community that are struggling with many different sort of situations.

Yes, that's right. We always get letters from people or emails.

Letters not so much these days, but and there's always someone in need for some reason or anolla, and we've collated a bunch of them and it's time to feel like Santa Clause and start giving away money for those that really need it.

We'll do three now, then we've got another six or so to go later on the phone.

So do you want me to tell you about the first one?

Yes? Please?

So Amy and Robert they are in their twenties and they have the cutest little son called Jarlie who's six years old.

Yeah, he's having a lot of trouble at school.

He was diagnosed with asd ADHD, a language disorder, and they need a service dog. Because that would help regulate his emotions.

Right, Who doesn't love the kindness of a dog?

Yeah, exactly.

And those trained ones, they're.

So good, they are, and that's what they need. They're trying to raise twenty thousand dollars. They've tried reaching out to local businesses, sausage sizzles at Bunning's, Cake stoors, all of it, and they've only managed to raise half.

And they don't know if they're going to be able to raise the rest. And they join us now.

On roberts On. Good morning, guys.

Hewo, hey, good morning, good how you go?

You know it's early. The whole family's up. The little oh, the little fella's up as well, is he? I see?

Hey Charlie here, hello, hi hei beautiful.

So this dog's twenty grand. You've raised ten. How about we give you ten thousand dollars then you go and buy the dog.

That would be really amazing.

Done. Consider it done. You've you've got it. You've got the you've got the dog. You've got the dog. The dog is yours. Now you've just got to go and choose what color, which dog you want? Amy and Robert. Nothing could be worse than not being able to do what you need to do for the development of your child. So Jack and I plus John and Joeandavara very happy to give that ten thousand dollars go and make all your dreams come true. Amy, nice to meet you. Robert's quiet in the background there, Robert.

But Robert can't hear she's the one holding the phone.

Is that?

How wor you want to tell him?

What?

I'm assuming that you're crying happy tears and he knows what's happening, and he's.

Like behind her, going, babe, what's going on, babe?

Babe?

What's going on? Put him? Yeah? Absolutely with your husband.

Hey, Robert, how are you?

Yeah, we gave you the ten but you're probably like, what's going on, babe? What's to help you? They don't ignore us. We're like, what's happening, babe? And that all that stuff? Ten grand man, go and get the dog. You got you got it all now?

Thanks so much, well, sir, Yeah, need no.

Need to rabbit on. We're moving. We've got a lot to get through making people's dreams come true. We haven't got time to be glorious.

Okay, Thanks you guys, and best of luck.

By Jarlie next, Belinda is on the phone. High Blinda, how are you this morning?

Take Carl, I'm good, How are you?

Very well? Hey?

Belinda, you're a single month with a ten year old son who has down syndrome, and you're the primary care also with your adult sister who has special needs.

Yeah.

Now is it you that got the melanoma on your cheek?

It was that got a melanoma? Yeah, oh my god, the eleventh of March.

And what's happened with that? What's the situation there?

Well, I had it removed and then you know, they have to do all the tests afterwards to make sure that it hasn't bread anywhere else. And so I had those tests and it did come back that it hadn't spread. But then there was this big however, they found a large mass in my right breast indicated I had breast cancer and in my limph nodes as well, and quite a large large mass, two different types of breast cancer.

How is the chemo going?

Because you're working Monday to Wednesday, then chemo Thursday, and then the next three days is to recover.

And it's difficult right now.

To make ends meet, especially looking at a ten year old and sister.

Wow man, Yeah, why is it the kindest people the shittest go thinking that I don't understand.

Yeah, it's I mean, it's not fun, but I get you know, you just got to get through it.

Can we give you ten thousand dollars also, just to so you don't have to maybe work every like three days a week and go through all this, Yeah, unpleasantness whilst you're also giving given, giving to your own child and sister.

So hopefully it's amazing and ran for.

You into the bank account. Thank you to John and Joey and Navara's charity Mirror of millions. And it's not going to cure the world for you, but it may just easier.

Take some bread enough. Yeah, the pressure welcome.

I appreciate it.

Brands Linda, And now we're going one more to Sarah, who is a mother of two undergoing also chemo.

Oh Siah, you've got cancer as well.

Unfortunately yeh shit, yours is.

On your spinal cord tumor. Right, yes, so back.

Last year we found out I hadn't really solved back and we found out I had a tumor in my spine, but unfortunately we couldn't get it removed because there was a ninety seven percent chance I'd become paralyzed. Right, So we end up doing a clinical trial which ended up costing around at eleven thousand dollars. It was successful.

Oh, that's amazing.

Recently we found out that it was in my kidneys, my liver, and my stomach.

Hang on, so they got they got the spinal thing, but they didn't get the rest of it. The stomach, liver, kidney stuff. That's still an issue.

Unfortunately not so. On March seventh, I underwent surgery to have those removed. Unfortunately, since then, I've got it been called a Thomas blood clot which is inside my portal vein, which is blocking the blood flow through to my heart, which stops me from like eating. I have to be tue fed sometimes I have to be on IV fluid as per the cancer because I have this blood clot sitting there. Nothing's been done in relation to it until I can get rid of this blood clot too.

How do you work? Are you on benefit?

So?

How are you surviving?

I do have a business, however, it is very hard to do. I'm very skin I'm going to lose my client because I can't necessarily tell them, Hey, I'm sick and then start losing them to let my family up, to do my banking and stuff like that. But I have lost a few clients due to not being able to leave Michael four child that I normally would do.

Sarah is another one. Techie. Sarah is another one that puts the needs of everyone around her before asself.

I bet you just think, God, come on, can't I catch a break here?

Like you've been through so much.

Yeah, you've had to do even the mortgage so you can pay bills, borrow money off the family. Ten thousand for you as well, Sarah from the Miracle Millions. Thank you, John and Joeanne Navara. We call them our godfather and our godmother here at the station because they're so wealthy, but they want to give it to others, which I think is amazing. Just a lovely, lovely nature.

Thanks so much, Sarah. Good luck with everything, honey.

It's a mega give Backstay that's three, that's thirty thousand we've dropped before. Seven am. More money, more people's lives to change all day. This is the Kyle and Jackie Osho Alan Jackie owes Me gives back Monday optic. Yeah, our friends John and Joanne Navara's charity Miracle Millions have really come to the party to help Sydney out. I mean, like beyond what anyone's ever done anyone struggling.

Yeah, we had a few really worthy people earlier in the show.

We're going to do a few more now.

We've already given away thirty thousand of your money. John the Godfather we call him because you always go to the Godfather when when things are it's wit tend you've got no other options, you go to the god or charging in no standover talk with the Lua voice. He doesn't like that person. Really, they're a kind family. They're not mafia related. John. We've gone through quite a few requests here from people that are really doing it tough, and we've chosen a few. John's chosen a few here. First one we're going to talk to this morning is Nicole. Her eight year old son Za has terminal cancer. Oh no, horrible.

He's been referred to palliative care now due to the relapse of his brain cancer, which spread to his spine. He is the sweetest boy and his family really want to spend as much time with him as possible.

There.

He is the youngest of eight children.

Good family.

The dad works six days a week to support his large family, which means he's missing out on these precious last few months with his boy Nicole.

It's so sad.

You're money.

What a horrible situation. Obviously you're living with this and you've been doing it for quite a while. We read the story and we all just tear it up straight away. Met Jackie, John Devar, the whole team. How's the little fella doing?

Like?

How long did have the doctors given him?

About two weeks ago they told me that I was looking at months now, Oh, darling. Yeah, we have done a lot of treatment, but unfortunately it's no longer working in the body, so that was our last option.

Does he understand? Like, what do you tell him? He's eight years old?

What do you say?

I just told him that obviously the cancer was back because he finished his treatment and rang his bell and he thought it was over, but it come back straight away. So we've just told him that it's back, but he doesn't know the full extent to it. He's just it all right.

Yeah, I feel yeah, God, what a tough spot to be in.

Oh, I'm so sorry.

Nicole, I love to you and your family, your little boy. I know your husband works six days a week. He's missing out on this quality time. So we wanted to give you ten thousand dollars to take some of the pressure off that financially.

Thank you so much.

You're so mean.

It's small, but Nicole, I'm so sorry. Thank you for sharing.

Really touch the heart, doesn't it It does, Nicole, be half of myself and my wife Joanna. I want to say God bless and I dedicate this on behalf of my children and my grand my children and children, so we're surely only the best.

God bless Okay, thank you. We'll give him a kiss for us. Yeah, and bless you and your entire family.

Thank you so much.

You're welcome.

Thanks Nicole. We're going to Justin now.

This was the one I was talking about guys where Justin he's in a wheelchair because he has spinal muscular atrophy and.

He wants to ride himself off.

Does he He's a normal thirty one year old guy who just wants to go out with his best mate. They get out to the pub, they have fun, but because of the wheelchair, he needs like the ramp access to the taxi to get home, but they don't work nights, and this one time he had to wheelchair himself home three suburbs away in the middle of the night.

There literally was no options for him.

Justin this is bullshit. Good morning, how are you?

Good morning?

Thank you bro, You're welcome. So what do you want? Do you want? Are you looking for your own wheelchair accessible vehicle or what are you thing for?

That's the goal to get my own vehicle with which accessibility so then I can be safer when I go out in the community and know that I can get home without worrying about driving myself from a to baby.

You'll get arrested for drunk driving wheelchairing yourself through three subburcs.

Because sometimes if it has Winny can book you like.

And I've had police officers like joke around with me and say mate, how much have you had? And then I've also had them say mate, you've got to slow down or we'll book you. And then I've asked me it's that serious, and they go, well, you can heard someone in that, so.

Yes, And are you one of those wheelchairs that's got the number plate on it and all the lights and the little roof and the flag and all that shit. Are you one of those dudes?

I do have lights, Carl, Yeah.

Yeah, excellable man. You got to get around. Now, how do you do out there with the ladies? You get me luck?

Then?

What's the good?

Yeah, I'm pretty good?

Yes, ye yeah yeah, And you're your mate will drive the car right, so he's fair to go out, not drink.

He'll drive you home. That's a good friend you've got there.

Yes, I'm very lucky. I've got some great friends that are around me that helped me out.

N I happened to have a wheelchair old wheelchair cab in one.

Of thee But if I was you Justin, I'll be spending the money on something else. But I'm not going to go there.

Oh sorry, that's okay, just a little bit of a story. I have it talked about protocol.

Justin's best friend is my pa, Sorry is my pa? Isabella? I knew about Justin. I've known about Justin for many years. What if your incident? And Isabella and the husband partner, Lachlan, they go to his house nearly every second day and help him out, to get him out of bed, and they do so much for Justin and I heard about this story and Isabella came up to me and said, look, can we do something. I said, look, there's a standard protocol. You can't go through me. You have to go for kiss FM speak.

And you had the opportunity then to do a little shifty and you still made him do it the right way.

Because there's so many there's so many cases out there. I want people to own their own problems and don't be so proud to say, look, I really need to here.

This is taking olive.

What this is for.

Yeah, it's all about so Justin.

I'm glad, Isabella and both if you reached out, you've gone through the proper protocol and you reach to the top, and if you want to say it, you.

Will give him ten We're going to give him any horre money on top of that, John, thank.

You so much.

Maybe not John happy to give the money. The Catholic churches listening to apologies now, So we'll give you that money and do with it what you will.

Be.

We've got a car with a bigger back seat, Justin.

We've got a family on zoom right now, Penny and high.

Family, good morning, Hi.

How are you guysous?

Looking family. Have you got three boys there? Look at your three robots?

Three boys?

Okay, bro, what's going on as your family? Would you need some help there? What's going on?

We've just had a pretty rough run mate, for the last sort of six months or so, like, yeah, I had a bad accident and fell off my bike and broke my sea too vertebrate and was in the next break for three months to sit around at home. And yeah, then our our four year old house started falling apart, and now we're going through that.

With our house is falling apart. It's only four years old.

Yeah, so that's all moving structurally, mate, We're having a bit of a rough run with that. And that's that's not even the top it off. O. Our two year old was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor on the eighteenth of December. That's just topless right off there. Yeah.

Now, now I've got a two year old or nearly two, and I can't imagine the shock of you know, life's normal. One day something's wrong. You go to the doctor and they say your two year old is terminal brain cancer. Like, I really don't know how I no one knows how you got the kids there. What do you do?

Yeah, it's tough, Like it's really tough. His brothers know, like he's obviously too young to know.

So yeah, they gave us the diagnosis that he has twelve months the day before Christmas.

Oh, sweetheart, that's the I just got body shivers then, Like, I don't know what to say.

I don't know, I don't know how how you do that? You know, it must be incredibly difficult. You do have to remain so strong.

You've got the parental thing. It's in right where you bury your own feelings for the good of the kids.

It's so not true.

We wanted to also give you, guys the ten thousand dollars so that Ben you know, you can spend more quality time with your family, pay some.

Of those bills.

Not so much.

It's not going to fix the world, but every little bit of assistance helps. Thank you to the Novara family. Yeah, miracle millions found teen green for your family, John, What a lovely family.

At the same time, any medical practitioners out there, they feel that they could actually offer some help and extra assistance to this family.

It would be good for self assistance.

Family need help.

Is that a veiled threat? There or is that an appeal to people's.

Happiness to the Medical Association of Australia, I agree.

Like sometimes doctors they pop up and they get you know what, I might help out for free. I might give them some some free consultatione something anything.

Yeah, that's true, that will be amazing.

Yeah.

We're actually on our way to Brisbane. I'm straight after this to have an MRI for COVID. You see how much radiation has reduced the size.

Of his chum.

So yeah, hoping that he gets some good.

News hopefully today, hopefully like miracles can happen, We've seen it. We've seen it happen before. Bless you. Good luck to your family. What a gorgeous family. So sorry going through Bye, guys, it's broken up. This this breaks my heart.

Our last one for this particular segment. You may have actually seen this on the news a few months ago. Linda was a full time age care worker and went into work and was viciously attacked by a French mastiff.

Oh yes, I did this. I do remember seeing this.

She's been in hospital for two and a half months now, four to five operations later, almost lost her hand.

It was bad.

Linda. Hey, hi, what a terrible situ. Now, I bet you're a dog lover too, right I am? Yeah, Now you were the last thing you ever think.

I don't get Yeah.

Yeah, Look, these things happen. They're rare, but they do happen. You've been in hospital two and a half months, Jackie said, yeah.

Yeah, practically two and a half months.

Yeah.

I got out on Friday.

And is that has that affected you financially? You've been off your feet, no income.

Yeah, well it's going to be a long haul of well, because I won't be able to work.

You've got more more recovery job. Sorry, you've got more recovery to do, not just.

Yeah, I've got to have hand therapy because my dominant hand was the one that was the most mold torn up. I had to have a skin graft because most of the muscle and tendons and stuff were ripped out. They saved my hand, but I cannot use it at the moment.

So many different types of Yeah, people that need help, Linda. We wanted to give you ten thousand dollars also so that Yeah, it can you can do whatever you want with that.

Yeah, don't handy down the track. Yeah, I'm not sure. How long I can, you know, go without work and yeah, with the elder.

Well, hopefully that ten grand makes a difference. I'm proud of this lady this year. She still wants to go back to work and help the elderly community. These are the sort of people that we want to look after. It takes a certain type of person to want to help other people naturally in their every day and they're always the ones to get the shit go as well. And yes, it's nice people and even nicer people that are just so kind to others.

Which seems so unfair. John, thank you so much for your generosity.

Hopefully the bad luck so you're very kind as well. It'd be our luck that you'd be killed in a car accident on the way out of here, and this whole thing would be a waste.

Well, it won't happen anyway. We want to continue on, Joan, and I want to continue on with this. And regarding what happened with Bondi last week, it was Sunday. We have to say something personal and probably gonna get in trouble from this from my father, but something similar happened to it our family back in nineteen fifty. We're a certain crazy person shop members of my family. My father's witness to that at the age of eleven, and I can see how it does affect family forever. So, you know, to these people that have tragedy out there with these these issues, with these mental health you know, just reach out and just try and spend time with these people, not to challenge them, just to be then to support them and really accept it was you know, twenty twenty four. And I know my dad, I live with him at the moment, and I know sometimes he still cries at nighttime.

What actually happens. They never go away, that neural goes away. It never goes away. So it's a very sad situation. What can I say? Listen, I just want to say, Donna, save Vince's de poor please. I've actually been donating money save Vins the paul if Save Vince is doing it tough. At the moment, a lot of people are in crisis again. It's getting cold, people on the street, they're starving. So we can reach out and donate to saving.

You know what, it makes it harder during their cost of living crisis where everyone's feeling the pins. The first people that usually miss out are charities right, because that's where you say people won't drop their Netflix subscription, they'll stop supporting charities, but don't do it, especially going into winter.

Always say just instead of mind the big the big macmil by the smaller one.

That's two three dollars. If you can give it to somebody, that'd be great.

And also Rabbi Mental Coustov and Jewish House is the crisis place where people gave their women domestic violence, where they need to go somewhere. He's also he's struggling with finances. He has these places, boarding houses where.

People go in.

I support him also, so if people can actually donate to Jewish House, and that would be great.

Guys, thank you, John, Joanne, and I hope she's feeling better.

Thank you very much. Thank you for everything you've done today. Take this box of tissues for free back to Joanne.

That's our gift to you.

You don't have a lot to give here, but give you what was really upset was she would have loved to do.

John.

There's John his wife Joanne away today. They're charity Miracle millions. If you've got something you need or you know someone who needs help, just contact us here at the station. We'll do our very bed the segment.
