Policing Nuisance Crime Improves Quality of Life

View descriptionShare

A new study from the Common Sense Institute examines how Denver enforcement of nuisance crimes impact more violent crime.  Jeff and Bill welcome John Kellner, Owens-Early Criminal Justice Fellow, Common Sense Institute to talk about the report.

From the report that is linked below: "Nuisance crime refers to offenses such as public disorder, property damage, and disturbances of the peace that unreasonably interfere with a community’s public safety. These offenses might not be the most violent or destructive, but they are a burden on all residents and a meaningful indicator of the quality of life in a community."
