(22:27) Tom - I've always wondered if Jesus felt because of his humanity we as human would feel abandoned by God. Was that an expression of his human feeling because he was fully human. How can Christ feel he was abandoned? if he were fully human, he would feel that way. Can you explain that?

Monica - A person who has decided to be an atheist and denounce their baptism. I don't believe you can turn your baptism away once you're baptized. I believe it's forever. Is that possible for a person who decides to be an atheist to do that?

Break 1

Adele - My brother is a priest. When he was in his first assignment. On the feast of the baptism of the Lord, he started asking kids' birthdays and then asked their baptism dates.

David - As a young adult and going through life in the spirit seminar, I wanted to be baptized again.

Break 2

Thui - Renounced baptism. I publicly renounced my baptism and God in general. I renounced God and everything that came with Him. I didn't want to have anything to do with being Catholic. God is always faithful and will never leave us. I'm back in the church now and I love it.

On today's Inner Life, Fr. Allen Hoffa joins to encourage us to maintain a spirit of conversion.

(6:01) What Is Conversion?

   People are looking for permanence

(15:31) Sarah - Back in 1990, I went through the Christ Renews His Parish program. Changed my life. It brought me closer to my faith. I wish the church would do it again.

Break 1

(23:15) The process of conversion is measured and paced overtime.

(28:29) Maria - As a lifelong Catholic and reaching old age and seeing special moments, how do you address being in tune with knowing this is the latter part of your life and dealing with that?

(34:10) Patrick - I read St. Athanasius recorded that St. Anthony said he had not yet begun to be converted at a very old age. I would like to be deeper in my faith but you cannot control the depth of your conversions; God has to be in control.

On today's Inner Life, Fr. Allen Hoffa joins to encourage us to maintain a spirit of conversion.

Break 1

(23:40) Michael - I have an aunt who was a Carmelite. Have question about how the Carmelites lived in their cells and their devotions.

(26:58) John - I'm pretty sure St. Therese of Liseux was devoted to St. Theresa of Avila. Is that true?

(30:20) Teresa - I'm pretty sure St. Therese of Lisieux was devoted to St. Theresa of Avila. Is that true?

Break 2

(38:16) Matt - My wife...her family has a lineage of the father of St. Theresa. She also has an aunt who is a nun. Interesting to have that connection and what you're talking about today.

(43:15) Prayer is an encounter amongst friends…Taking time to be with the One who loves you.

(44:35) Cathy - Favor she granted us. We were at the birth of a child, so I prayed to St. Therese if she brought us this child. We got the child and were shocked to find it was the feast of St. Theresa of Avila.
