On tonight’s programme, The Illustrious Fact Show Presents… The Plum Smugglers, an ongoing historical drama from 1942-1947 on the BBC.

Earlier in the series, The Plum Smugglers successfully infiltrated a North Italian plum orchard with one of their own group to every day put aside 5 plums so at the end of the week they'd have 35 plums they could smuggle. But as word spread and their reputation grew, so too did the demand for plums. In this episode, The Plum Smugglers want to try to increase the amount of plums the inside man puts aside to 6 a week. Meanwhile, the authorities are tightening their net in their search for the gang of criminals.
