They are family owned and run by the Koven family Rabbi Drew, wife Maxi and son Jordan. lastrongfoundation.org for more...

Aired August 9, 2026: In this podcast, Lisa Foxx chats with Rabbi Drew...

'The first time I had you on the air, was after our devastating LA Wildfires...that's when and WHY you started the LA Strong Foundation, right'?

'I know we are going to talk about all these Back To School events you are doing and offering help with supplies for so many...but how have you transitioned into helping MORE people and who have you found is the most in need'?? We discuss it all...these folks are AMAZING! Using their contacts and resources to GET THINGS DONE! Get people in need what they need and FAST! 🙂

Rabbi Drew, then passes the phone to the founder of Local Hearts Foundation , who they teamed up with to do this Back to School event. They turn neighbors into changemakers. Rooted in Long Beach and greater Los Angeles County, they run 100% people-powered programs that are volunteer-led, locally funded, and built from the ground up on community, compassion, and service. Thank you Francisco "Tito" Rodriguez (also known as "Hood Santa") for all that you do!!
