Michael Stocks commenced playing the violin at an early age, and then travelled with the Australian Youth Orchestra around Australia and New Zealand. He performed and taught the violin in Sydney for 9 years until 2012 when he returned home to Tasmania.
Michael now teaches from his Launceston studio, and also conducts the St. Cecilia Chamber Orchestra and is concertmaster of the Launceston Philharmonic Orchestra.
Michael has also been the Musical Director of several local musical theatre productions including Mama Mia in 2021, and is currently the Musical Director of the stage musical Chicago. He chats here with Adrian Wood.
