This Hot Seat episode coincided with a very special event that was held in Campbell Town on the very same day. The Northern Tasmanian Light Horse Troop hosted the War Animal Remembrance Day and a plaque was unveiled to honour the contribution of all animals that served in time of war. Terese Binns and Sherrie Rees from the Light Horse Troop talked to Chris Sayer about the Dedication, the ceremony in Campbell Town later that day, and some of the many animals that have participated in war.

Late last year Kerry announced he would not recontest the 2020 Legislative Council elections in order to start a new stage of his life. Hot Seat host Chris Sayer asks Kerry about some of his favourite memories and together they discuss the journey of a young boy from Fern Tree whose optimism and determination saw him become a successful radio broadcaster and one of Tasmania’s longest serving politicians.
