It is just at a lousy week gambling, but I will say this is the time of the year, Week ten and eleven. The frauds. That's why I kind of buy into Miami. The frauds. Dubtail, Well, giants are winning. That looks real to me, and Miami keeps separating. That looks real to me. You're Cleveland Browns. What happened Mike Cleveland? G Well, you were all over that. That was a bat called my park, by the way, Giants scraping by the Texans giving Squan Berkley like thirty four carries? What is that all about? I got a history of injuries. By the way, how bad is Kenny Galladay. He's done one drop in and benched instantly. Hey, by the way, we are now twenty four hours, ladies and gentlemen away from the Jets making the hurt hierarchy tomorrow. At this time, we are fired up in Jets Nation. I'm not kidding. The people are waiting Colin. This has to be the week. All right, here we go. Lots are right, lots are wrong, Colin right, are wrong. Here we go where Colin was right? Well, I was early on the Bills, I said three weeks ago when they beat Green Bay. I said, folks, there's trouble. They are loose second half. I don't like what I'm seeing, a little cocky, a little chatty issues. Josh Allen is reverted back, especially in second halfs in the red zone, to wild out of control, trying to play Superman. They've lost back to back and we spotted it three weeks ago, where Colin was raw worst blaze in five of the year. Only the Steelers won. For me, A lot of underdogs won in the NFL this weekend, just not mine. I was genuinely surprised. How bad the Seahawks were in the first half. Is it a time zone? That's the best Tampa's run the football? It feels like in a year but a bad week for US. Where Colin was right, Jimmy Garoppolo George Kittell said after the game, he's really good at playing quarterback for US. He now has over one hundred passer rating for the year. That makes him elite. He's completing sixty seven percent of his throws, that makes him elite. He doesn't turn the ball over. He wins. Of course he's better than Trey Lance for this team. I can't believe the pushback I got when I said, yeah, the guy who's quarterback his team to the super Bowl is better than the young guy that we don't know him play. Of course he's better. Of course the Niners are better with Jimmy Garoppolo. Where Colin was raw, I said, I thought the Raiders could be the best four placed team in league history before the season. They are lost. Derek Carr weapons offensive head coach. They're just lost. I mean, DeVante Adams put up numbers. Car put up numbers, but they are fourteenth and scoring completely utterly outplayed by Jeff Saturday and the Colts and Derek Carr broke down at the podium after the game. Where Colin was right. Brian Kelly, first year at LSU, wins the toughest division in college football, the SEC West. Yeah it can be cringey. Yeah he can be grumpy. He's a top three to four football coach in college ball. He's fantastic. And when he brought over Jayden Daniels from Arizona State, I said at the time, I said, this kid can really play. He was under coached with the Sun Devils. Well, so far, the kid has fourteen passing touchdowns, two picks, twenty four total touchdowns. He's their leading rusher. Jaden Daniels is an NFL quarterback. I told you when Brian Kelly landed him, he just needed a really, really good coach. You know it's he beat Saban the first time he got to face him. Between you guys and Harbon, Brian Kelly, if you can win in multiple places time and time again, you're an elite coach. And both harbonn Kelly are top five in college football. Where Colin was raw, well, I had my questions about Mike McDaniel, the Miami head coach he was kind of different. He was a snarky and kind of witty and kind of an analytics guy, and I didn't know if he had much presence. He'd never been a head coach. All I know is Miami Dolphin offensive players are wide open all the time. We knew he was a smart guy, but he was different, you know, he was just kind of a quirky, fun guy. Say what you want to say, but Tua looks comfortable. I thought Miami would be a playoff team, respect tacular, and at some point we've got to be honest here too. Is passer rating is one hundred eighteen point four. Second place isn't even close. Hey, well, two of may have limitations. I'm not seeing them in the last four to five weeks. Where Colin was right my best prediction ever. I said the Minnesota Vikings will be the most improved team in the league. And they lost all their close games last year. I said, with their new offensive coach, they'll start winning these close games. They're winning all of them. Their offense is top ten in scoring. I think what we predicted is what I predicted was Kirk Cousins will feel empowered. Kirk Cousins will feel supported. Kirk Cousins playing great football. I don't think Kirk Cousins is great, but when a quarterback that's good feels empowered and supported. How about Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson. I mean, he didn't care. A couple of those throws to Justin Jefferson. He wasn't even and open. He threw Justin Jefferson open. So Kirk Cousins has always been the guy that we think shrinks in big spots, and he may, but we were right on that prediction where Colin was raw. Okay, I'm officially off the Stark bandwagon at Texas. There's so many things I like about him. He's a great recruiter. I've seen him developed players, but Quinn yours his five star quarterbacks not getting better. Way to loose. Sarks just doesn't win enough big games. They're often close in big games, but the details, the mistakes, they haunted him at Washington. It's the same thing here. He can recruit, there's there's he's the offensive coach. I've seen him developed players, but yours is struggling. He is sloppy, his mechanics are bad. Well, that's where Sarks supposed to take over as a former college quarterback. I've defended Stark for a long time, but he lost another close game. At some point, I'm wrong where Colin was raw. Boy, was I wrong in the Oregon Ducks. I think they're a much better team than Washington, but they gave up over four hundred yards passing to the Huskies. Huskies have an excellent, young, left handed quarterback and a bunch of receivers, and they just moved that ball Bownicks. He missed a series or so. That's not the reason they lost. This defense for Oregon, despite having a defensive head coach, they were thirteen and a half point favorite tonson stadium and lost. Washington just kept delivering big time blows panos. This quarterbacks really good. Washington's got some NFL receivers. So I had said in the last couple of weeks, I thought Oregon deserved a mulligan against Georgia. That's a roster full of four and five star recruits. Oregon absolutely looks the part, but Washington took big swings. That was one of the better college football games in a while. That was a good college football game. Pacific Northwest all right, James Jones oh he is eel on its Super Bowl champ buddies with Aaron Rodgers Packer wide receivers a decade and you are feeling it today. I will say that they committed to the run and it made Aaron's life much easier. I also criticized Aaron. I said, these young receivers get close to Thanksgiving, things are going to get a little better here. What do you think change for Aaron? Because I felt even though they'd had some drops and they screwed up roots, I felt like he went into that game, in fact, the last couple of weeks kind of like I gotta make this work. That's what it felt like to me that Aaron just came to terms with this is what I got right, Yeah, And I think you're right. And the main thing is is they've stuck to the game plan right these last couple of games, when they've been on this five game losing streak, right when one little thing went wrong, it's like, okay, let's throw it fifty times and let's go away from what we do best. Let's go away from the run, and let's try to throw it fifty times and try to get these young receivers some experience and all that, but that wasn't winning games. Yesterday. You've seen them go down by fourteen points and they still stuck with the game plan, running the football with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon and everybody is talking like, why how is the Cowboys letting Aaron Jones and AJ Dialon run all over him? Well, Aaron Rodgers is not Lamar Jackson. He's not justin fields about to run outside the pocket and all that type stuff. But you've seen the last player, the driver to Alan Lazar when he faked the read option and hit him on the quick sland. You have to account for Aaron Rodgers arm in the passing game because he will hit you with those tricks and that's what holds the defenders. But I was really proud of the Packers because they stuck with the game plan even down fourteen and that is their formula for success on the offense. And if they can get Christian Watson. I ain't saying he got to score three touchdowns every game, but if they can find him to get a couple explosive plays in some of these games a couple times a game, this offense is gonna be right where they want to be. I didn't think Dallas played poorly. I thought Dallas was Dallas Costly penalties, not good on third down. Like I didn't think Green Bay beat a cowboy team that was lousy. I thought they'd beat a cowboy team that I don't trust in big spots. I trust Aaron more than Dak. I probably trust Floor a little more than Mike McCarthy. But as you watched, I didn't think Dallas was bad. I didn't, did you. No, Dallas played a really good game. Dak Prescott had it going early. They were running the ball at will Ceedee Lamb had it going. The Dallas Cowboys was the Dallas Cowboys. I just think this is the Green Bay Packers team that we thought we were getting Week one, Week two, Week three, Week four, We thought this was gonna be a really good football team. Has a lot of big time players on the defensive side of the ball. You still have Aaron Rodgers, you have a solid offensive line. We thought that this was the Green Bay Packers team that we thought we were gonna get into season, and they came out and played like that and really beat a good Cowboys team. Now, I did feel like coach Mike Pressed on that field goal opportunity at the end of the game. You have to kick that field goal and make Aaron Rodgers in overtime have to go score a touchdown. Okay, So Aaron barks at Matt Lafleur. I don't have a problem with on field emotion, didn't bother me at all. Do you think he was barking at him because he got too conservative running? What do you think it was? You know what, to be honest, what you look like Aaron said he wanted to run the ball. It looked like coach Lafloora called a pass play. And yes, I know when I played with Aaron Rodgers, he had all the freedom in the world to check into any play that he wanted. So I don't know if it was a play that coach Lafloora really wanted to run and really thought was going work and called it in the huddle and was like run the thing. Because if you look at Aaron, he said run the Dame ball like he wanted to run the football. But I have no problem with that. You're absolutely right, Colin, right, those heated conversations on the side lie. We need to see that sometime, right because we are both trying to win. And we know coaching Florida Aaron Rodgers relationship, it's phenomenal. Those two dudes are brothers. But you need to see that this is coach player going at it. But we are trying to get this thing done. We are trying to win. And in that case, Matt la Floria felt like the past was better and Aaron was like, no, our best player on this offense is in the backfield. We need to run the Dame ball. And you could tell that that was the game plan going in, no matter how ugly had gotten, no matter how many points you got. Down by Aaron Jones touches the rock because he's lightning in a bottle in the run game and pass game. You know, I'm not a big fire the coach guy. But Denver was off a by. The Titans were missing five defensive starters. Five they went to a backup quarterback who fumbled. I mean, Tennessee was off an overtime road game. Denver had extra prep and if not for one boy Lon Titans coverage down the left sideline. Yeah, Denver down, score a touchdown and I'm to a point, James. You know, people have families I'm not a fire a guy, but to me, the buy was Okay, let's see some new things schemed, let's see some new tricks. I've seen Stafford first year with the Rams off of Bye. I've seen the Brady first year with the Bucks off of Bye, and it feels like, you know, with Brady, there's a little switch flipped. I'm at the point now with Denver like it's over. Like I don't think you can keep telling these players were inches away. I mean, I think I would make a move at Thanksgiving? Am I what would you do with Denver's mess right now? Well? Number one, right when you watched the Denver Broncos play, They're not inches away. This is a terrible offensive football team and I do not see it changing no time soon. And the crazy thing about it is is they have playmakers. You have Jerry Judy, you have Courtland Sutton. I mean, you have Russell Wilson back there. I don't know who there's Russell Wilson is right, this is not the Russell Wilson's that the Denver Broncos said we are getting from from Seattle. I don't see Russell Wilson being Russell Wilson and I don't see it changing, right, And the way he's playing right now, I don't know if it's changing next year. So I don't know if this is a decision that the Denver Broncos are gonna regret. Right, and Colin, it is okay to sit up here and say you hire a coach that's not ready. That's fine, right, you're going you're you're hiring guys, right, you think they're ready for the job. He's just not ready for the job. Right, it's no adjustments. Right, We have seen no adjustments on the offensive side of the ball. We haven't seen you even try to get Russell Wilson outside the pocket, like, let's design some players with Russell Wilson's getting outside the pocket because that's where he's most dangerous. That he has Russell standing inside this pocket, not putting up no points, Russ is not using his legs like he was using in the past years in Seattle. The offense just does not look good. And I don't see it changing. You don't see no adjustments by the head coach. This is a bad football team on the offensive side of the ball right now, Colin, and I think it's gonna stay like that. This season. I have a theory on the Raiders. I'll talk about it after the break, but I wouldn't. I think they've had so much chaos that I don't think you can get rid of Josh McDaniels. I don't think that. I think there's there's reasons for why they're struggling. Some of it is they've had injuries to key guys. But um, you know, Derek Carr came out publicly and kind of made comments about it, it's not right. And DeVante Adams made comments a week ago, it's not right. Derek breaks down at the podium. Could I suggest this? The Derek Carr thing's been great, right, but there are times he does James. He's got a market, there's seven eight teams will absolutely if as Carolina, I'd go buy Derek Carr. I think it's just time. And that's not a criticism on Derek or anybody that it's just time. Maybe you played with teammates, you know far at the end, it was just time if Brett could still play Brett, but it was just time. That's my feeling on the Raiders. What do you make of what you see? Yeah? See, this is this is a tricky one for me, right, because I just talked about the Denver Broncos and I'm saying, like there's no bright spots, right. This offense just looks bad. Right. You just said if it's not for blown covers, they don't even score a touchdown. It's not like that for the Raiders. Derek Carr and the Raiders were averaging thirty points a game two weeks ago, like they were scoring at Wheel the ball going to Devontae out of them. This is not even with the whole core healthy. Darren Waller has been out, Renfro has been out. They haven't even had a chance to play together for two games. Right, So you've been out there with Max Hollins and those guys and not saying they can't get the job done. But you came into the Sea and say we got Renfro, we got Josh Jacobs, we got Darren Waller, and we obviously added DeVante Adams. When I watch the Raiders play, they are in these ball games. It is one score games, and it's nothing to do on the head coach. The players are not making plays. And I'm not saying Derek's not making plays because even if you watch this yesterday's game, it's a B line to Foster m a road down to the field that he drops for the game winning touchdown. Right. So it's just the plays that the Raiders are not making. Right, And you could go and say, hey, this coach might needs to get fired in all this, but they're just not making the plays. That's there. You look at the game. They punch out the fumble, we don't recover the fumble because we're trying to scoop a score. They get it back the very next play they score a touchdown. It's the plays that the Raiders are not making. It's not scheme stuff and all that. It's just the plays that they are not making. That's why they are in these one score games. They just have to make the plays at the end of the ball game. I'm not ready to give up on my brother, dear Carr. I'm not ready to give on Josh McDaniels. I think these two dudes are going to be great together. They just got to finish the game. Colin, all right, good stuff. James Jones. First things first, he'll be on it the former Packer after our show. He's got a Super Bowl ring. James Good Seniors always appreciate it. Appreciate it, Brad. I have some thoughts on the Raiders, on the Denver Broncos and Russell Wilson, and I did not think the Cowboys played poorly. I did not. I thought they were the Cowboys where they've got really interesting players and they have big plays, and they've got some stars. But you look under the hood a little bit and it's you know, it's a there's limitations on. They're not great in big plays, big third, red zone, fourth down, They're just not Dax had a bad year in those big leverage spots all year. Yeah, and remember in the playoffs last year, in that loss to San Francisco, high leverage moments, they flopped left and right, and yeah, that comes down to execution. Is that a coach problem? Is that a quarterback problem? Is that? Both? One more Herd? All right, this is gonna be a huge gambling month for every sports book on the planet. Okay, So I want to talk about the Raiders for a second. So the Raiders are kind of a mess and Derek Carr broke down yesterday. It's pretty tough. So they lost to Jeff Saturday in the Colts. Now, my first takeaway is sometimes you bring in a former player to a locker room like Jeff Saturday and for a couple weeks everybody's feeling big and alpha and it can work. I've seen it work with Dan Campbell. Do I think Jeff Saturday is going to go down as Andy Reid? Probably not. He's smart enough. But it's hard to coach in this league. There's like four great coaches, maybe six. I hear this colin This was a playoff team last year, barely and so what the Rams won the Super Bowl? They stink today. This isn't college football, it's the NFL. Half the playoff teams don't make it the following year. So what. Secondly, Derek Carr is to blame. Well, he's been average fifteenth in the league. He's not been terrible. I mean, yesterday Derek Carr two hundred and fifty yards, two touchdowns, no picks, twenty four or thirty eight hundred passer rating. That wasn't the reason Davonte Adams had nine catches, one hundred twenty six yards, a touchdown, a fifty yard or that's not the reason they get along. Fine, let me throw this at you. Number one is new coach, coach, new offensive system, and Darren Waller and Hunter Renfro have been hurt. Renfro's a top three to four slot receiver and Darren Waller's a top two or three tight end. They've both been hurt. So Davante Adams is getting double teamed a lot, people shading the coverage, over, rolling the coverage over It's something a lot of good coaches in the NFL. They're taking away Davante as much as they can. Secondly, the Raiders don't have a history in recent decades of a strong culture. So when you bring a Belichick assistant in, they're smart guys, they're not known as culture builders, the Belichick guys. So you have a bad culture and it was a mess before Josh McDaniels got here and a guy who's not known for building cultures, and maybe it just takes a year. I'll give you an example, Robert Sala with the Jets. Jets similarly don't have a history of great cultures. They bringing the coach Robert Sala, who never built his own culture. Last year, the Jets were a mess. I mean they were, and even there were games. Look, I didn't practice. Give it twelve months, give it fifteen months. You watch the Jets this year, win or lose. He's sand paper down the rough edges. You get the same Jets team, their strengths, their limitations every week. It took Sala a year because this was not an organization known for great culture upstairs. Similarly, the Raiders, like the Jets, a lot of losing, a lot of weirdness, a lot of stuff that's unpredictable. They blow their coach out last year should have been blown out got blown out. GM gets blown out. This is not an easy one. This is not the Chiefs with a Hunt family. You know, this isn't you know, there's a lot of Organization's not the Packers where Matt Lafleur inherits a lot of winning and Aaron Rodgers and a stable front office. You know, the Jets and the Raiders bit of a you know what upstairs. They come in and the first year is choppy. I think the Raiders injuries to stars with a new offense. Josh McDaniels trying to build this thing. I don't want to hear. They made the playoffs. Half the teams that made the playoffs don't the following year the Rams think, But I think it's really hard when you it's much easier Matt Lafleur inherits the Packers or Andy inherits the Hunt family in Kansas City, that's much easier. Gig then you know, Cliff Kingsbury goes down to Arizona. That's been a mess for a year. Steve Wilkes tried it and that thing went sideways fast and he couldn't overcome it. And then Cliff came into Arizona and it looked like it may go sideways, and all of a sudden he gets his arms around it, and now it's going sideways again. And it's the stuff all starts upstairs. So the Raiders have the talent. You got Wallers out and Rent Froze out and one of Belichick's assistants is trying to build his old culture and Robert Salo last year took it down to the studs. I mean there were multiple games last year as a Jets fan they looked awful. It were I mean, they beat Tennessee and everybody's like, yeah, Jets were awful and half their games. But here's the thing. I like, they're not bailing. I mean, here's Derek Carr after they're all in. They're just losing. I love Josh, I love the car, love our coaches. They've had nothing but success, you know, way more success than I've ever had. Sorry for being emotional. I'm just pissed off about some of the things. You know that a lot of us trying to do just to practice well, we put our bodies through just asleep at night, and for that to be the result of all that effort pisses me off. And I wish everybody in that room felt the same way about this place. Winning's hard in this league, and it's even harder when upstairs is a mess. And I think the Raiders will get it turned around. I'd feel a lot better as a Raider fan today than a Broncho fan. I mean, you gave me Bronchos this morning, and the Raiders. I'll take the Raiders. I'll take Derek Carr in those weapons and Josh McDaniel. I'll take the Raiders over Denver Chargers. I like their GM and I like their quarterback, but I don't trust the Chargers in a big spot. They're not Kansas City. But again, Josh McDaniels didn't inherit. A lot of the Kansas City brings to the table a lot of stability. So sometimes just take a deep breath. Not every problem and situation is solvable. I would take the Raiders in a heartbeat over Denver situation. I mean, they are trapped, they got they got four years. I mean, Derek Carr, you're not paying that much money to what does Denver do? And I'm not even sure how goes. The Chargers have a defensive coach and their defense isn't generally very good. I don't know what's going on there. Jmack with the news, Now this is the herd Line News. Take that raider's job because you want to pick Bryce Young third. Overall, Right, raiders look like they're going to be drafting in the top five. Just want to remind everybody they may Derek Carr has a market. You could in one fell swoop, not only would you get your pick, you could get a you could get multiple very good picks for Derek Carr absolutely and rebuild that defense with you. I'm not saying you have to do it, but if you don't think Derek Carr is a market, that guy is totally committed to me. He's a top twelve quarterback. There's a lot more. I mean, I'm gonna tell you something. Do you see a huge gap Kurt Cousins, who's got much more stability around him? Do you see a big gap Kurt Cousins Derek Carr? Because I just watch Kirk Cousins go to Buffalo and make great throw after great throw, and I don't think there's a big gap between hurting Derek Carr. In my opinion, I think that's they're probably both in the ten to fifteen ranges. That is that fair? I mean, I just I just watched Kirk Cousins go to Buffalo and out duel and make smarter plays down the stretch than Josh Allen I do. I asked you this off air. I'm gonna bring it up anyway. So if the press conference, we just watched Derek Carr kind of crying, I don't think he was crying. He was emotional. I mean he was not bawling. Yeah, he wasn't sobbing or anything. But what well, I got kids. You know it's emotional. Really you're crying. I'm a very emotional guy. So if you cry if you lose the Super Bowl, I get that. This is like week ten against the Colts and you're melting down. I like Derek car a lot, but the crucible of New York and that media. Are we sure he's built to handle the criticism. I will defend my guys for caring. He is, so I'm not I'm not bagging on him, just to be clear. Yeah, No, I just I think if my guys get emotional, I'm here for him. Well, have Sanchez in here this week, who was in the New York media He Rode and when he was down at the lows. It's tough, man, they pilon. They are relentless. Didn't you and I and we were we were not we're going together last year. But wasn't there a moment last year during the season that you watched Darren Waller and you thought he's unguardable. I mean Darren Waller. He may not be Travis Kelsey. Historically, Darren Waller is unstoppable and healthy. It's never available. Hunter Renfro's a top slot, not available. So new coach, new coordinated, No Renfro, no Waller. We know they don't have a great offensive line center, right, So a lot of this stuff, I know everybody wants definitive answers and to blame somebody some crap is just I'll guarantee that he goes. They tried to trade him at the deadline. He won't be playing for I'll tell you what if you put him in the right team. Yeah, No, he's very good. He's a huge talent. All right, Let's start with argue with the best receiver in the NFL, Justin Jefferson. Colin, we could show this, you know, just every hour. Look at this good again, look at that. O. God, that is incredible. That's the best catch I've ever seen. For me, it is and I know it's in the moment. It defies physics, is it right? A physics is science? What science? I mean he's falling down backwards, the balls coming out of his dame. That's as good a game as the league has had. That. Oh, just heart stopping stuff. My kids walked in the door. I'm like, God, you gotta see this. They're like what anyways? All right, here's what Justin Jefferson said about the catch heard around the world. Just the way my body, Uh I went up him catching the ball in his hands and me taking it from him. Um, I mean, the whole the whole play was it was crazy. But um, you know it starts with the old line. It starts with blocking, giving Kirk that time to give me, uh you know that the opportunity to go up and make a play. Um. But you know it's just it's not me. This is a collective team win. It felt like it was unreal. It felt like a movie. Um. But just like I said, God is with us. Uh. You know I told everybody, this is our season, this me is this is our season. For us to win out day to go to the super Bowl. So we just gotta keep work or working. I loved how Cousins just stared him down. I'm just gonna go back to him, back to him, back to him. That's painful. It's like Michael Jordan, you know what's coming? Can you stop him now? And they could not guard Justin Jefferson. He's having a tremendous season. I know, Tyreek Hills doing great stuff with Casey. Oh my god, I just don't see someone look at the Viking sideline. I mean that is erupted. Yeah, that was a cool thing. Here's my other thing. I know some Buffalo Bills fans, they're just saying, all the guy has to do is knock the ball down and the game is over, and we're not worrying about Josh Allen. It is as simple as just knock it down. But everybody wants to make a play. He's like, oh, I can snag this well. And also, you didn't think Justin Jefferson, we made the greatest play in the history of football. Yeah, like sometimes dudes make play. Yeah. He's also the best gritty dancer in the NFL. I'm a huge Justin Jefferson fans. Sorry about that, Jamar Chase fans. All right, Next up, Justin Fields another Justin Now listen, this kid is electric college. I love watching Justin Fields. Well, we're gonna show eventually a sixty one yard touchdown run. This is two weeks in a row he's had over sixty yards rushing and a touchdown. And by the way, he's over one hundred twenty five yards rushing each of the last two weeks. No quarterback, not Vic not Lamar Jackson, no quarterbacks done that like seventy years when they were running the wing d nineteen forty years. I literally feel so good for Chicago. Yes, I honestly am, like this city loves it's football. You know, I love Chicago. They love their football and they've been searching. I mean, say what you want about the Giants, they got Elion Manning and Phil Sims. Say what you want about the Jets. They've had Pennington, Richard Todd, Nameeth Bears just like McMahon for an hour. Rex Crows don't. So it's like the City of Peers do have. And and for the record, they're in a rebuild that old line. I mean, my guess is they're gonna have cap space. I would go buy the best center on the market. I'd think about buying a tackle. They need another receiver. This is this is not a finn In product. They're doing it now. I mean you can see they gave up some defensive players Roquan Smith and Quinn. They couldn't get Detroit off the field and key spots. So my buddy Vic works on the gambling side here at Fox and he's a diehard Bears fan. I texted him, Dude, this is a as good of a result as you could ask for. Justin fields are great, your team is competitive, and oh, by the way, you now have a top six draft pick. Like that is a good losses? What is winning that game? Gonna do the two best losses in the league this year, Chicago to Detroit and Chicago to Miami. Yeah, those are great losses. I know it sounds crazy, but it's like I got my quarterback big pay. You're not gonna win the Super Bowl this year anyway, You're a rebeader. Still need like they got a first, a stack in a third, two fours, two fifths, and by the way, twenty nine points or more scored each of the last three weeks and they've lost. But Ebra Fluce is a defensive guy. I have faith in him. But justin Fields, Colin must watch television right now, like when he's got the ball. Like even on the final play of the game, they thought they had him twice. He's just like fighting cop just fighting off guys. It was incredible. I thought it was. It was incredible all right. Finally, Patrick Mahones decent win. Four different players called touchdowns. They hold off the Jags and cover the spread. Most important, a huge I want to say a name. You tell me what you think. Cadarius Tony. The Chiefs immediately work him into the game plan. Had a touchdown that was wide open off to the rise. Juju Smith got knocked out, like literally cold. It was a little scary. They hands froze up. But then Cadarius Tony comes in and they didn't miss a beat. Like this team is is the best team in the NFL. Right, can we agree on that? Well? You know what I loved. Chiefs do two things really well. They play well from behind, and I trust them implicitly in close game. Yeah, if a game's close, it's like they'll figure it out. They get Tony to amazing. They rebuilt a defense, they rebuild an online, they rebuild a receiving corps. When you have a really good culture, you can rebuild stuff. And it's like you start watching this Receiving Corps. Now they don't have Tyreek, but you can tell Tony is gonna be really really productive with Andy Reid and Mahoons. By the way, they lost the turnover battle three zero in the first half and they were up twenty to nothing, and they considered aside kick, Like this team right now, Scotland. I'm just gonna say one thing. Special teams for the Chiefs cust him against the Colts, and it is Andy Reid's gotta get that fixed. No, it's a it's a problem. It's a major. I mean it. Jags opened the game with an onside kick. It was too Yeah, you're like a cheez Jacks. But Patrick Mahomes MVP. Hey leading right now, it's up there. How about this, Trevor Lawrence, say what you want, but it does look like he'll stick. He's He's probably like, no, no, he will, yea, he will. Kind to get him a little more another weapon. Christian Kirk had a really nice game. Yeah, and they were. They had a couple of dumb penalties that hurt him. But Trevor Lawrence is good. We're all watching justin Field as we should. Trevor's gonna be fine. He is. Trevor can play j Mack with the news. Well that's the news and thanks for stopping by The Herd Live. So I'm not a big fire of the coach guy, but um, I thought this was a big tell this weekend. So Denver off a bye week so they have extra prep time to figure the offense out. Tennessee is off a road overtime loss. If you look at the numbers in the NFL through the years, teams that lose or play and overtime const struggle the following week. Packers Dallas could struggle next week a little bit. So I look at here's the moment. Okay, extra prep time. Five Tennessee defensive starters out and outside of a blown coverage, they never got to the red zone. Denver had four for seventeen on third down, sixty five yards rushing, no trips to the red zone, eighteen first downs, and they have talent. You're not gonna fire Russell Wilson. This offense is a mess. I'm looking for any indication, any glimmer of hope, any improvement, any signed anything, any adjustment. It's not there. I think you have to fire Nathaniel Hackett again. You're not gonna fire Russell Wilson. But I'm looking for anything. I don't see anything. But when you have a buy I've always felt this in college football. If you go look at great college football coaches, Saban lou Holtz, Barry Alvarez, you know as a kid, Don James, the great coaches off a bye extra time. Extra time doesn't help lousy coaches. Go look at Andy Reid's record off a bye, Sean Payton's record off a bye extra time. It doesn't matter if you're a coach or not. If you're good at what you do, and I give you extra time to prepare for what you do, lawyer, nurse, doctor, whatever it is, you're gonna take advantage of the time. They gave Denver an extra prep week for a beat up defense didn't do anything. There were no schematic plays, nothing built in, nothing improved. This guy's over his head. He's a coordinator. There's nothing wrong with that. Most politicians are better vice presidents than presidents. A lot of vps in the world, very few great CEOs. But when you get a buye and you come out and you're facing a weary, beat up, ravaged, injured team, sixty yards rushing, no trips to the red zone outside of a broken coverage, there was nothing. I'm looking for anything, any glimmer of hope. I see hope with the Raiders. I even see hope with Taylor Heineke and Washington. I see hope with Carolina. They're playing their butts off. Carolina's got some dudes. I see. This is the second best defense in the NFL. No, actually it's the best. And there are three and six. Dom Capers is on the staff. Give it to him, say, Dom, just get us through the season. You've had a job. Dom's probably he's grown up. Just give him the team. Let's center it. But I'm looking for signs here. I see nothing at all. I just want to play. Here's Russell Wilson after mister optimism. You know, it's disappointing because I really believe in really believe in who we are and the guys that we have, and it's been tough, but we're not We're not going to give up, that's for sure. And we know that, UM, as tough as it's been, as good as we should be. UM. You know, even though we've lost a lot of great players this season, really the reality is is that we still have opportunity to answer these moments. And you know, and you know, I'm gonna do everything I can to find a way to answer those moments coming to forward. That's that sounds great at the podium, but it's I'd give it to Dom Caper's you made a mistake. Cleveland did it with Freddie Kitchens, Steve Wilkes Arizona. It happens. I mean, two out of three quarterbacks in the first round can't play. It happens. It's okay, but to pretend off of by we're gonna solve stuff, no trips to the red zone. I mean half of Tennessee starters half couldn't play. Did you see the shots of Russ on the sideline, no Colin, A lot of him just sitting by himself, no fire, no energy, no like, come on, guy. It felt like he was defeated. They were down to the third string center, third string right tackle. I know Tennessee was beat up, no excuses, but they didn't convert a third down in the second half, Colin, like with Russell Wilson and with some nice skill player, I'm a Russ defender. Something's off. He doesn't seem happy right now. Like if you just look at this him on the sideline, he's like a loan just sitting on the bench. A lot best defense in the league three and six.
