EP88 A Shameful Dereliction: Our Universities Failure to Protect Jewish Students
For Jewish students, university should be a place to learn, belong and find their feet as adults. AUJS' Jeremy Suss and Liat Granot describe how, after October 7, campuses became places where students hid their Jewish identity, were spat on, abused, and walked with fear. They explain how warnings to university leaders went largely unanswered, and what they told the Royal Commission about the institutions that failed to protect their students. Their testimony is a devastating account of that failure, but it ends with a refusal to be driven out: young Jews continuing to build community, lead and live proudly.
