A maintenance worker at the New Orleans jail where 10 inmates escaped, is being charger with helping the inmates escape. The NFL did NOT ban the tush push. A pregnant CBS anchor hosted an entire morning show even though her water broke. Ozempic patients have been reporting oral health issues. A new TikTok trend involves eating a lot of carrots to appear tanner.

The Fred Show is on Fred's Biggest Stories of the Day.

All right, So ten guys broke out of the New Orleans jail last week. I think they found half of them as of yesterday. I haven't seen an update on that. But they clogged a toilet to get the water shut off so they could.

Escape through the hole behind it.

This is according to a lawyer for a maintenance worker who is now being charged with helping them. So this worker, named Sterling didn't know about the men's plan and didn't allow the inmates to cut a pipe behind the toilet to create the opening.

He had nothing to do with it.

Doorti's have said that an inmate instructed him to turn off the water to the toilet, leading to one of the largest jail breaks in recent US history. Five of the guys, as of last night, do remain at large. This was clearly all part of an orchestrated plan. His lawyer said, was nothing more than he was nothing more than a tool they used to turn off the water, which they knew would have to happen after clogging the toilet. So, I mean, I don't know, are the inmates telling the maintenance guys what to do, like hey, open this door. I mean, I gotta get out of here, right, I mean, I I don't know. But then again, like what would the maintenance worker have to gain by helping them break out, Like once we get out, we're gonna pay you or something like.

No, they're not.

They're going to escape and never see you again, right like unlessie, if you see them again, that means they got caught and they came back. So if I'm the maintenance guy, it's like, oh, yeah, my rich uncle is gonna, you know, pay you one hundred thousand dollars if once you're right, So they're not, but I don't know. So anyway, the maintenance worker is being charged with helping them, he says, no, I was just doing my job. I didn't know what they were up to. But I imagine having to come back now to jail. I assume they're going to a different jail. I don't know they have to go to different because they taunted those guys. They rode on top of the hole that they made too easy. They didn't spell too right, but that's okay. So I don't get how people can still I truly don't know how people can still break out of jail or rob Banks.

I don't I don't get it. I don't know how like to.

Put an air tag on everybody and then we know where you are all the time, And like why would I write?

And police chases? Like why would I?

Why they got they had drones, Now they've got helicopters. Every news station is going to get out there and follow you around, you know, So I don't know right, like how far you think you're gonna go?

I know in some.

Cities if it's too high speed, they'll stop it because it's dangerous.

In Chicago, they can't chase I learned that when my car was on the lambs.

Would be like we saw it speeding by, but we're not allowed to chase it.

I was like, Oh, is that motivation or is that is that law? Is that just them going? I don't feel like it. I got bigger stuff to do.

Yeah, because it's danger for other people like on the street and on the right. No, it makes sense. I just I don't know, is it?

Like, no, we're investigating like you know, like serious crimes, murders, deaths, stuff. So sorry about your car, but I saw a roll by but no, the NFL tush push Jason's here to stay. You can tell us more about what the touch pushes is. Our director of sports support in Jason Brown, tell us more.

Yeah, you know, it's when you give a little, you know, to the tushy, you know, a little what like a you know what I'm saying. Yeah, No, I don't. I actually don't know. Well, now that's a different that's a whole different noise. That's a different kind of toush push though you might enjoy on the weekend. But Sam, I did explain this to you before. But that's okay.

That proposal to ban the controversial tush push narrowly failed to pass at the NFL Spring League Meetings meetings.

Let me see here.

The ban, proposed by the Green Bay Packers, needed the vote to twenty four team owners to pass. The final vote was twenty two to ten, with the Eagles, who came up with the play, among the ten teams voting against the ban. The play, known as the Brotherly Shove, involves the offense lining up players behind and around the quarterback and then push him forward into the defense to score a touchdown or a first down.

Critics said the.

Play is both dull and dangerous and it makes football look a lot more like rugby.

So if you were concerned about that.

There's a CBS albody New York news anchor, a morning anchor named Olivia who's making news. She went into labor just before her five am broadcast, and despite her water breaking at four point fifteen, she chose to remain on the air anchored the full three hour newscast while timing her contractions. Her co anchor kept viewers updated via Facebook Live, and that got significant attention. Of course, the woman appeared composed, even eating yogurt during commercial breaks, and said that she was I guess continuing to work helped manage her anxiety better than waiting at the hospital. She left at the hospital immediately after the newscast, and I guess went had a baby.

Women are amazing, very amazing. But that's risky, isn't it.

I was gonna say, there's no job, no nothing, no no broadcast that needs you that bad, Like, please don't get a medical medical attention, like when you're about to give birth, just because it can be risk Anything could happen in an instant.

You're right, so your water breaks and you're like, well, I got several I guess you know from these contractions how long you've got the contractions are really far apart, then you know you're not anywhere close.

To it, right.

They say the water breaking doesn't necessarily mean like in movies, we're like run to the hospital, We're going to deliver this baby right now. It's not like that, and it's true. But again, that doesn't mean like keep working. That means get off your feet and go to the hospital.

Or what we tried to get you to keep doing this straight now from the hospital bed.

You wouldn't do it. I know I was editing video hospital. I was just born at that point.

I was I was dilating.

If you will, yeah, I will, Yeah, I will, I will, I certainly will yeah yeah.

I was induced. So we didn't. We didn't want you to work out. We didn't.

We didn't want you to know that. We didn't you to sign I know you guys blocked me. We did, Yeah, we did. We on all platforms, and we are. I'm sorry, and we've got to unblock you.

Actually.

So another concern today, a side effect dubbed ozempic teeth Oh if you're on the Ozmpic affects the users of the popular weight loss drug ozempic and similar GLP one medications. Patients have reported dental issues like dry mouth, bad breath, gum disease, and tooth decay. Experts suggest that these problems may stem from the drugs appetite suppressing effects, which reduced to liva production, essential for oral health. Also, common side effects like nausea and the acid reflux can further harm teeth due to increased exposure to stomach acids. Dental professionals now recommend that anyone considering these medications consult with their dentists beforehand to mitigate potential risks. So here's the thing. You're gonna what do I tell you about last week or earlier in the week. You're not gonna have any Teeth's gonna have bad breath, something with your chin or your jaw or something. You're gonna grow a tail, correct, but you will be snatched. No teeth, then snatched, which is amazing. And another day, another TikTok trend I have to tell you guys not to do. It's called carrot max It's called carrot maxing. It's gaining popularity among beauty enthusiasts seeking a natural, sun kissed glow. Oh, so you would consume large this is I guess real. You would consume large quantities of carrots, particularly canned ones, due to their high beta carotene content. This can lead to carrot honima. I'm sure I said that right, a harmless condition that turns the skin yellow orange. Experts do warn, though, of more serious risks. One person ate six cans of carrots daily, resulting in over five thousand milligrams of sodium intake, more than double the recommended limit. The excessive sodium intake led to mild organ failure and a trip to the emergency room.

Well, she looked she was blowing absolutely to me.

As a baby, I would only eat baby food with carrots in it.

I wouldn't need any other flavored food. Baby, how did you get to choose even well, like I wouldn't. I didn't like anything else. I only like the ku.

Yeah, so my parents only give me a baby full with carts and I turn orange? Yeah, I don't have to ask my mom.

Who you remember having a choice of what I got to eat as a baby. I feel like I was hungry and then I was put in front of me.

I mean I was very developed, you know.

Yeah, yeah, very refined culinary taste that health professionals advise against extreme dietary trends and emphasized the importance of balanced nutrition. So yes, people are trying to look tanned by eating too many carrots.

Where do we live? What are we doing? What are we doing? Isn't that like j I think that's like yellowy? I was more of an.

Okay, National Craft Discillery Day, National Solitaire Day, National Buy a Musical Instrument Day, and National Maritime Day today. Really are we going to add musical instruments now to Kiki karaoke? You are are we upping the Do you know how to play a music?

Playing violin for two years? Wow?

I played one for a year. Okay, yeah it started or she says there were hot girls in fifth grade. You had to take an instrument and there were hot girls that in the strings area. So I was like one of two guys that did the strings. Yeah, my poor parents. It wasn't very good at it either, and I didn't get the girls, So it doesn't cop. Man, it was all for not way to bring that up, Kiki, the entertainment important. Two minutes French shows up.
