Renowned political columnist and author Eugene Robinson took a moment to join the podcast to discuss his latest book, "Freedom Lost, Freedom Won: A Personal History of America." The Pulitzer Prize-winner also dove into the current state of media, including his recent departure from the Washington Post where he served as associate editor. Robinson's visit to the southernmost city was also in support of Take Stock in Children, which provides scholarships to local students across the Keys. In this latest edition of the On The Rock podcast with host Mark Hedden, we speak with artist, illustrator, and writer Edel Rodriguez about his graphic memoir "Worm." It's the story of Edel and his families journey from Cuba to the United States in 1980 during the 1980 Mareil Boatlift. During his career Rodriguez has also illustrated some controversial covers for magazines such as Time, Newsweek, and Der Spiegel. Rodriguez has also been the subject of an episode of the American Masters series on PBS. An exhibition of his artwork will be on display at the Studios of Key West through January 29, 2026.
