NSW Roads Minister Jenny Aitchison says the government has filled over half a million potholes since taking office, including 106,500 in regional areas.

However, host Clinton Maynard argues that council budgets can't cope with the maintenance backlog and "it just seems ridiculous" that drivers are still stuck in slow-speed roadwork zones with no workers in sight.
