The last person known to see Robin was a man who would go on to be convicted of brutal sexual assaults, but was never charged in her disappearance. In the years that followed, investigators pursued leads, friends and strangers searched for answers, and Robin’s family was left with uncertainty that never really ends. The case became part of Carmel's landscape: a story whispered about, a mystery that refused to die.

Now, Rolling Stone Magazine’s investigative journalist Paul Solotaroff returns with reporter Kathleen Horan to go back into the darkness.
