Over the past decade Aussie reading rates have been in decline, with more and more young people saying that they don’t read for pleasure - ever. That is until very recently, with a booming interest in novels about sex and love showing signs that the tide may just be turning.  In today’s deep dive, we're speaking to Anna Burkey from Australia Reads to help us unpack what’s really going on — why romance novels are capturing hearts, inspiring new readers, and creating a lifeline for a generation struggling to pick up a book.
