Colin’s joined by Danny Parkins, host of “First Thing’s First” on FS1.

They begin with tanking in the NBA and Colin argues that he’s pro-tanking because it’s the only way to turn your franchise around since it’s so difficult to trade star players in the NBA (2:30). They agree that NBA players have gotten so good at shooting 3’s, it’s led to a less visually appealing product for the fans that makes the regular season tough to watch (10:45) and they debate potential fixes (23:30). 

They pivot to LeBron and debate when he should hang it up, with Colin arguing that Michael Jordan’s years with the Wizards didn’t dent his legacy at all and Danny believing LeBron will return to Cleveland to finish his career where it started (31:00). 

They discuss the recently proposed 24 team college football playoff and Colin believes it wouldn’t diminish the regular season or rivalries, and due to NIL college football now looks more like its professional counterpart than any other collegiate sport (37:00).

Finally, they discuss Scottie Scheffler’s historic run in recent years, and why the huge sums of money involved in golf leads to a bit of apathy from some of the top golfers (51:00).
