Brett kicks off the program by talking about political leadership and America’s future, contrasting the current direction of the country with what he describes as the failures of the Biden administration. Reflecting on comments made by former President Joe Biden during his first week in office, Brett argues that the nation avoided a dangerous path by rejecting policies he believes would have weakened border security, increased government control, and empowered foreign adversaries like Iran.

Later Brett shifts to a lighter conversation about summer heat, air conditioning habits, and the strange household rules many people grew up with surrounding when the AC could officially be turned on. After hearing from a friend who refuses to use air conditioning before June 1st, Brett jokes about people turning their homes into “beef jerky factories” while suffering through rising temperatures.
