Matthew 9:1-8 (From Christ) - It's All About the Heart - With Guest Speaker Kelsie

In this episode, we delve into the climax of the story, where Esther's bravery is put to the test:
Esther's words are laced with caution, as she carefully crafts her plea to save her people from destruction. 
The king and Haman finally realize that Esther is a Jewish woman
The king angrily retreats to the garden, where he comes back to see Haman on the same couch with Esther pleading for his life
Haman is put to death on the same gallows he prepared for Mordecai
What does this mean for the Jewish people, since the words of the king were binding?

Esther 7 - Evil Haman Meets His End

Today we delve into the topic of submission, specifically in the context of slavery, as discussed in 1 Peter 2:18-25: 
Peter encourages slaves to submit to their masters with respect, regardless of their treatment, as Jesus did when he suffered for humanity's sins. 
Peter, Paul, James, and other apostles understood something that most of the Roman world did not - that slaves had inherent value and could potentially save their masters. This is why 1 Peter 2 and 1 Corinthians 7 emphasize the importance of slaves staying in their positions unless they have the opportunity to become free.
Jesus' example of enduring physical and emotional pain, including being crucified and bearing the sins of humanity, shows that suffering is commendable to God. 
The episode concludes by highlighting the importance of faith and the promise of a better reward in heaven for those who endure persecution.

King Ahasuerus has a hard time sleeping after Esther's banquet. He orders the book of records to be brought to him.
The king learns about Mordecai's part in saving his life but he never received recognition or a reward for his actions. The king is puzzled by this oversight and decides to take action.
Haman, who's been plotting against Mordecai, comes early to the court to ask for Mordecai to die, but gets humiliated instead.
Mordecai remains humble and unassuming, even as he's given the royal treatment.
