2 Peter 3:1-13 - What Will Happen on the Day of the Lord?

Listener Survey: Give your feedback about The Bible Explained

Today in 2 Peter 3:1-13 we face the scoffers who ask "Where is the promise of His coming?" and learn why the Lord's delay is really His patience:

  • Was early church making it up as they went because they didn't have the Bible yet?
  • "The Lord is not slow concerning His promise... but He is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish."
  • The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night, so we look at the parable of the ten virgins and what it means to be ready.
  • How Revelation 20 and 21 help us think through the millennium, the final judgment, and the new heavens and new earth.
  • Peter tells us to look forward to the day when God dwells with His people and wipes away every tear.
