We were so thrilled to welcome Charity Stowe and Taylor Carruthers for joining the B100 Morning Show as they share the exciting development details for the Milkweed Gardens in South Bend! 

Welcome to the nonprofit wing of Herstoric Development, dedicated to transforming neglected green spaces into thriving places of beauty, belonging, and ecological thriving.

Milkweed Gardens Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating spaces of care, connection, and ecological restoration. We focus on reactivating land in ways that reflect the needs, hopes, and wants of our neighbors. We steward the land and its natural inclination to thrive. It will be revived through: native plantings, pollinator beds, shared greenspace, protective fencing, shade features, places to sit and more.

Community Chat: Milkweed Gardens Update with Charity & Taylor! 

It's hard to believe that on September 11th, 2026 it will mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

This year, we are honored to be a part of the March to the Memorial event in South Bend.

Has it really been 25 years?! Join us for this special year of remembrance as we make our annual journey through the South Bend metro area carrying American flags.

Bob Lyons was inspired to begin this event after being a part of one similar out of state. He says that honoring 9/11 and the victims every year is a vital part of who he is. His hope is that more and more people sign up to walk, bring a flag, and inspire others to remember and never forget what this day means to our country.

Executive Director of Miracle League of Northern Indiana and his son Evan, came to share all the great news and excitement surrounding Opening Day at the Pfeil Miracle Field!
