Certain high-protein foods are suddenly really hard to find. In fact, some Montreal shoppers say they’ve been going from store to store just trying to find cottage cheese. Experts say social media may be partly to blame, with TikTok and fitness influencers pushing high-protein diets, sometimes encouraging people to eat 150 grams of protein a day or more. But is this protein obsession actually necessary for most people? Nutritionist Robin Glance spoke to Andrew Carter.
