The Midget Championships begin tonight at Western Springs in Auckland. 

American Motorsport racing driver Logan Seavey said the event is hugely significant in the sport. 

"The Springs is a great track - super tight, but really good racing and we've got some great competition this year, so I'm expecting a pretty exciting race."

Black Caps come up against Sri Lanka in the first of three one day international's tomorrow in Wellington. 

Young Black Cap is looking ahead to the series and reflecting on his career to this point. 

"The support's been amazing from the New Zealand public and previously I'd only played overseas, so it's been awesome to play in front of home crowds and the support we get has been unbelievable."
