The overall Rural Mainstreet Index dropped below a growth-neutral level of 50 for February. That’s according to the most recent monthly survey of bank CEOs in rural areas of a ten-state region dependent on agriculture or energy. The USDA’s World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report shows the 2025-2026 U.S. corn outlook is for greater exports and lower ending stocks. The season-average corn price is unchanged at $4.10 per bushel. The U.S. soybean supply and use projections are unchanged this month. NAFB News Service
