According to the latest Crop Progress report from USDA, in Minnesota corn planting was 42 percent complete, 17 percent of the soybeans are in the ground and more than half of the spring wheat crop has been planted.

Dan Erdmann of Farm Rescue says volunteers were on the way to Iowa to help with planting after recent severe weather, and the Northern Crops Institute hosted a webinar about culinary innovations in pea protein.
