Before the picks, Marc takes you inside Season Premiere presented by Amegy Bank, the Houston Texans Foundation night that celebrated 25 years of impact. He shares the backstage moment he loved most — introducing Texans Legend Glover Quin to Kamari Lassiter and Calen Bullock, two eras of Houston defensive backs meeting for the first time. Andre Johnson and Travis Johnson brought the energy for the Legends against the current locker room, and the night raised significant money for the Foundation.

John Harris then pulls the best of Executive Vice President/General Manager Nick Caserio's appearance with Sean Pendergast and Seth Payne on 95.7 The Fan. Caserio breaks down what rookie Keylan Rutledge has shown across five weeks of camp, how the offensive line group has taken shape with Aireontae Ersery, Evan Brown, Trent Brown and Blake Fisher, and how veteran Wyatt Teller has handled a new scheme. Caserio also offers an encouraging progress report on Tank Dell.

John closes by walking through the NFL.com writers' Super Bowl LXI forecasts, where the Houston Texans drew votes from Kevin Patra and Gregg Rosenthal — both built on the same premise: this is the elite defense in the National Football League.

McClain makes a bold call on C/G Keylan Rutledge — that the rookie belongs on the all-rookie team — and explains why Nick Caserio's public praise of Rutledge carries so much weight. He also digs into the tight end room, where TE Marlin Klein graded out as Pro Football Focus's top rookie tight end this preseason, and makes the case that Houston's personnel department deserves far more national credit than it gets.

McClain and Marc then look at the opening four-game stretch, go around the league, and take on two of the week's biggest media stories: the Titans' decision to pull a credential in Nashville, and Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley's revelation about how fan-shot training camp video traveled between opponents.
