This week's teacher feature award goes to Denise Abbott of Timpview High School. Mrs. Abbott is the State Advisor of Hosa in Utah (Health Occupations Students of America). Denise is in charge of over 5000 students learning science, teaches 6 classes a day with 36 students in each class. Beverly Watkins nominated Mrs. Abbott and says that "she expects a great deal from each student, and gets the results back she asks for". 

Mrs. Abbott receives a special recognition award from Zions Bank, an overnight stay at the Anniversary Inn, dinner for two at the Roof Restaurant downtown, and two season passes to the new Hale Center Theater. KSL NewsRadio's Teacher Feature recognizes outstanding teachers in the Utah community. Each teacher is presented each week by a different KSL NewsRadio personality who talks about how  they make a difference in the lives of the children they teach. 

Each winning teacher is honored with a plaque from Zions Bank, an overnight stay at Anniversary Inn, a gift certificate for dinner at the beautiful Roof Restaurant at Temple Square and a pair of season tickets from Hale Centre Theater!

All winners are also invited to attend an end-of-year banquet at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in their honor. In addition, one lucky teacher will win the grand prize 2-year lease on a new car courtesy of Burt Brothers Tire and Service.
