For our Tips from the Kitchen segment, Kaspar talks to Dr Low about sensory and consumer science, specifically on ways to make eating and drinking experience more enjoyable, as well as how sensory science can be used to design foods for astronauts.

Then, for our Potluck segment, Lucy takes you back to The Village World Kitchen, to share some more of the recipes and reflections she was lucky enough to learn about at the event focused on providing free meals, platforming marginalised voices, advocating for refugee, asylum seeker and BIPOC migrants’ rights, security and well-being in Naarm and sharing recipes for easy, healthy, memory-laden and tradition-rooted meals.

Radio Mexico & Food Nostalgia 

For this Tips From the Kitchen segment, Lucy got to talk to the brilliant, giggly, creative and highly respected Raymond Tan.

Raymond and Lucy chatted all things tim tam slam, the Zumbo masterchef challenge, making the jump from accounting to retail to baking, selling cakes from a tiny Southbank apartment, the blue colouring of kueh, honouring tradition alongside exploring new flavours and the changing dynamics of sourcing asian produce in Melbourne. 

Then, for a shorter Potluck feature this week, Kaspar shares what he has learnt about the Wurundjeri season of Garrawang. 

Kaspar talks about the medicinal magic of the Kangaroo-Apple, the fruiting of the cherry ballart and what to look out for as we (at time of recording) transition into Biderap season.
