Today is World Kidney Day, a global campaign that raises awareness about the importance of our kidneys and how to keep them healthy. Our kidneys are remarkable organs, but despite the crucial role they play, kidney disease is often called a “silent condition” because symptoms may only appear once the damage is already advanced. Many of the risk factors – including high blood pressure, diabetes and poor diet – are closely linked to the choices we make every day.
