She was renowned for her Sunday radio show - Kodambakkam. Lutchmanan was also an educator, author and a cultural and linguistic activist. She dedicated her life to nurturing young minds and the promotion of the Tamil culture and language in South Africa....

As we mark World Optometry Week, we ask the critical question: Are we doing enough to protect our eyes?
