We speak with Celeste Louw, the general manager of TEARS Foundation. This conversation follows the organisation’s strong criticism of South Africa’s response to gender-based violence and femicide. TEARS is calling for urgent structural reform, including an independent statutory body to improve accountability, strengthen implementation, and better protect survivors of GBV nationwide.
