12 STEPS OF CHRISTMAS — a filthy Christmas comedy. When a rebellious kid is denied his dream Christmas present by his mom, he goes to his estranged alcoholic father (who lies about being sober) with an idea: adapt the 12-step program to teach me how to not be you.

Act 3 - Jake runs to the embodiment of Christmas perfection: Grandma. Ashley confronts Carl about spending time with their now-missing son as they combine to search for him. Climactic confrontations will see: Jake deciding between his idealized Grandma or his fucked-up normal life; P.O. Jordan deciding between judgment or redemption for Carl; and Carl deciding between saving himself or—if he’s finally able—putting his family first.

Pitch –When 13-year-old Jake’s fed-up mother tells him he won’t get the cell phone he absolutely NEEDS this Christmas, he goes to the only other person who ever pissed her off as much as he seems to: his estranged alcoholic father, Carl. Jake’s plea: adapt the 12 Step program to teach me how to not be you.

Will Jake find out that Carl’s sobriety is secretly a bunch of humbug? Can this fuck-up father teach this fuck-up son how to be less of a fuck-up—all in time for Christmas?

Act 2 -Continuing...  Jake’s “rehab” with an amended 12-step list, Carl drags his son to a Mexican A.A. meeting. Unexpected revelations lead to a reckoning and new goals for each: Carl drink-y no mas and Jake giving his mom Ashley “one nice day.”

When Jake’s next Step, “Believe in the motherfuckin’ Spirit of Christmas,” instead leads to the destruction of trust, reputation, and public property, Jake finds himself fighting with both parents—and on the run.

We see Carl’s life doesn’t represent the change Jake is probably hoping for. We meet Carl’s parole officer, Jordan, via voicemail as Carl navigates clear artifacts of an alcoholic life.
Jake and Carl begin their mission with Step 9—but Jake’s attempts to make amends leave him battered and bloodied. Will he decide to keep going? Can this fuck-up father teach this fuck-up son how to be less of a fuck-up—all in time for Christmas?

We sit down with writers producers, and the cast for a conversation about PV & Franny.

___

At a school where no one knows who's inside the football team's bulldog mascot costume, where a game of hide-and-seek has been going on for the better part of a week, where Dale Wilson, the world's nicest bully, desperately wishes kids would stop giving him their lunch money, two wayward fifteen-year-olds are about to start a band.

PV & Franny is a stylized and occasionally surreal 30-minute single-cam comedy about young love, growing up weird, and making music. It follows PV, a confident, take-no-prisoners punk rocker in training, and Franny, a sensitive and taciturn singer-songwriter type, as they navigate falling in and out of love, artistic collaboration, and the perennial difficulty of tuning a B string. It's Sing Street meets The Other Two, with a healthy dose of cult classic The Adventures of Pete & Pete for good measure.

Written by the talented Tommy Wallach, and narrated by Ty Burrell, Fred Armisen and other notable names, the two-part series tells the story of two young souls who cross paths in school. Franny is immediately impressed by PV's musical talents, but their connection takes an unexpected turn when PV seeks Franny's help to solve a personal dilemma. Tune in to discover the heartwarming dynamics of friendship, intimacy, and the complexities of young love.

In addition to Burrell and Armisen, the star-studded cast includes Liam Richardson, Kensington Tallman, Rahm Braslaw, O’neill Monahan, Samantha Morelos, Eileen Fogarty, and Ruben Ray each adding their unique flair to the narrative.

LANDLORD is a frightening nod to 1980’s body horror and a not-so-subtle metaphor about the dark side of property ownership.
