View descriptionShare

Educators are constantly looking for different teaching methods to meet diverse learning requirements. Hip-Hop music is born of the daily realities of Black people in America. Minority groups have recognized it as one of the most efficient ways to detail experiences, pass down history, and build community. This session will discuss hip-hop's connection with social justice in America while detailing how educators can use the art form and culture in the classroom to teach political education, radical traditions, and diverse perspectives. Participants: Eugene Lee-Johnson
