Charlie Curnow enjoyed an incredible first season in the red and white, kicking 75 goals to win his third Coleman Medal and inspire the Sydney Swans to second on the competition ladder and a Preliminary Finals berth. 

His stunning five-goal performance in the Qualifying Final against Brisbane was arguably his best performance of 2026, while his eight goals against Richmond in Round 12 was also a standout.

An amazing teammate on and off the field, we spoke with the prized recruit to reflect on a roller coaster season, but one he can certainly be proud of.

Logan McDonald produced a career-best season in the red and white, kicking 51 goals and being rated amongst the competition's best forwards, based on Champion Data, in the second half of the season.

Having not played a single game in 2025, McDonald built plenty of self-belief during a gruelling pre-season, and implemented new training regimes in the hope of an injury-free campaign.

In reflection, Logan identified one game in particular that was pivotal in his sudden change of form that saw him become one of the most consistent and damaging players in the competition. 

A great episode for a player who will be brimming of confidence as he heads into a new season.

Jevan Phillipou enjoyed a strong VFL season in 2026 as he produced some standout performances and cemented himself as one of the team's most lethal threats in front of goal.

Arriving at the club following the 2025 National Draft, Phillipou admits he learned plenty about himself on and off the field in a season that had plenty of challenges and exciting opportunities.

He has his sights set on a massive pre-season in the hope of giving himself the best chance at planying senior football in 2027 and beyond.
