The Princess of Wales has made a solo return to the Irish Guards parade in London for St Patrick's Day.
For more, Associate Editor of the Daily Mirror Russell Myers joins.
Welcome back.
The Princess of Wales has fully embraced the Saint Patrick's Day spirit and making her soul. I returned to the Irish Guard's Parade in London, dress head to toe in best of green, but.
It wasn't all official business for the Princess and she took a moment to enjoy a cold glass of guinness. And in the show of true royal generosity, she didn't leave without putting some money behind the bar for the post parade party too.
Oh that'll go down well for more. Associate editor of The Daily Mirror, Russell Myers joins his life from London. She's been making a lot of public appearances recently. Is she ramping them up?
Yeah? I think she is going morning that Morning Show. Well, you know, this is a pretty poignant visit for Kate, and I'm pretty emotional as well because last year she was forced to miss the Saint Patrick's Day Parade for the Irish Guards, the role that she took over as Colonel in Chief back in twenty twenty two when the late Queen passed away. Because last year she was diagnosed with cancer just days before the parade, so she was looking all smiles today, As you say, she was enjoying the moment supping a pinet Againess didn't manage to split the g I don't think on this occasion, but she didn't put some money behind the bar for the squaddies to enjoy later. And I think you know, she is stepping up her duties at the moment and it's got to be a great sign.
She certainly doesn't need to put money behind the bar. Her popularity is that an all time high, isn't it. And this just proves too how relatable she is, how one of the people she is when she gets out and about.
Well, certainly, I mean, it's been great to see her and we've had this sort of void in Royal Land where she hasn't been around, and we've certainly felt it, and they've certainly felt it for the charities and the organizations that she mixes with. And we call her speaking to one of the squaddies wives today saying that she fancied bringing the kids down under to Australia, so fingers crossed, we could be on your shores before long, because wouldn't let that'd be great to have Kate William and all the kids down with you.
Guys soon.
Maybe she dropped a scoop there, guys, what do we have You also concerned about Queen Mary about a mystery illness?
What's that?
Yeah?
There is, And she's pulled out of two events later on in the week. She was due to perio at a charity event on Wednesday and at the Mary Institution for the University of Copenhagen on Friday, and that would normally cause a bit of alarm if she pulled out last minute. But I'm told she's a been under the weather. The Royal Family Press Office was saying that a lot of people suffering colds this time of year. She's just feeling a little bit under the weather. No calls for concern, hopefully and hopefully she'll be back sooner rather than later.
Okay, well, let's hope it isn't too serious. Russell, great to chat again. Thank you,
