Dear Steve and Shirley, My husband and I have been married for eleven years and we have a son. My husband is eight years older than I am, and he has old school values and ideas. He is great with our finances and I'm not. I spend a lot of money on our child's extra curricular activities and his annual school fundraisers. I hate that I have to ask our friends to support our child, and I have to do this single handily because my husband won't ever help me.
