On today's episode, Jason and Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) reunite to hit you with a cornucopia of hot takes on all the biggest headlines around the world of sports. First off, the Las Vegas Raiders are suddenly one of the hottest teams in the NFL. With their remaining schedule littered with backup quarterbacks (Los Angeles Rams / San Francisco 49ers) and mediocre opposition (New England Patriots / Pittsburgh Steelers), it's not out of the realm of possibility that the Raiders run the table the rest of the regular season. Sticking in the AFC, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is dealing with a knee injury, and given how banged up the rest of the roster is around him, would you really blame Jackson for just shutting it down the rest of the season? Moving over to the NBA, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers have been on an absolute tear as of late (even if they did lose on the road in Cleveland on Tuesday night after AD left the game due to illness). Given what we've seen from them recently, is it fair to say that the Lakers have a legitimate path towards championship contention? Obviously they still need to make a trade or two to really elevate themselves but the idea doesn't seem as farfetched as it did early in the season. Finally, J-Mac and Rob G close the show by taking Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young to task for skipping his team's game on Friday night and trying to evade reporter questions about it a few days later. Young has had an uneven reputation for some time now and this certainly didn't help his cause.
