Straight Fire w/ Jason McIntyre – Keep an Eye on Joel Embiid, An Unbelievable Russell Wilson Story & Damian Lillard Drops 71

View descriptionShare

On today’s episode, Jason and Super Producer Rob G (Robert Guerra) get the party started by with a lengthy conversation on two of the biggest storylines from the weekend that was in the NBA. The new-look Los Angeles Lakers came back from 27 points down to stun Luka Doncic and the Mavericks in Dallas. Is it time to start taking them seriously in the Western Conference? Or did this game say more about the Mavericks’ shortcomings than anything LeBron James and Co. did. In the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia 76ers came up short against Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics on Friday night. The loss isn’t all that surprising… until you consider the rumblings that James Harden is seriously considering a return to Houston after the season. If the Sixers flame out of the postseason yet again, and Harden does in fact end up leaving, would they blow it up and ship superstar big man Joel Embiid out of town as well? Later, J-Mac goes solo to explain why he doesn't believe Friday's report that Russell Wilson tried to get Pete Carroll and John Schneider fired when the trio were all together in Seattle; Any objective person can tell that's just not in Wilson's character. Finally, our fearless leader closes the show by paying homage to Damian Lillard for dropping 71 points in Portland's win over the Rockets. We've always been big fans of his.
