On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob G kick things off with a deep dive into the Los Angeles Lakers' decision to fire head coach Frank Vogel. Vogel wasn't perfect, but he was far from the reason why the Lakers failed so spectacularly this season. Rob Pelinka gave Vogel - a defensive coach - a roster full of poor defenders, and compounded the problem by allowing LeBron James and Anthony Davis to convince him into trading for Russell Westbrook. Frank was clearly the 'fall guy' for everything that's gone wrong in Los Angeles this year. With Vogel out of the picture, the only question now is who can they get to replace him? Would an established guy like Nick Nurse or Quinn Snyder be willing to take over a relatively dysfunctional team? Would the Lakers really offer the gig to the criminally overrated Doc Rivers? Is there a young and up-and-comer from the college ranks that could make the jump to the NBA? Only time will tell. Later, Jason closes the show with a very special NBA Play-In Tournament (Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Brooklyn Nets / Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Clippers) edition of the Best Bet.
