On today's episode, Jason starts things off by sharing his thoughts on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers narrow victory over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. There's not much to take from the game on the Bucs side since they were clearly looking ahead to their Week 9 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, but there is one big takeaway from the Giants side: Daniel Jones is not The Guy. He's too inconsistent and he turns the ball over way too much to be a franchise quarterback. Don't be surprised to see the Giants target his replacement at the top of the 2021 NFL Draft. Later, Jason explains why Jimmy Garoppolo's ankle injury means he's probably done for the season, but more importantly, it means we've probably seen his last game as the starting quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. Jimmy G has been injured for most of the last few seasons - and he's never been an elite quarterback to begin with. Now, the 49ers could target a veteran this offseason like Matt Ryan or Matthew Stafford. Or, they could think outside the box and make a move on New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold. The Jets appear to be a lock to take Clemson's Trevor Lawrence in the Draft, so Darnold could be had on the cheap. Finally, Jason closes things out by explaining why he was fairly unimpressed by Tua Tagovailoa's debut performance as the Miami Dolphins starting quarterback. He just looked small and unathletic compared to the other quarterbacks in his draft class. For the sake of Dolphins fans, let's hope Game One was an aberration.
