On today’s episode, Jason kicks things off with a deep dive into the Cleveland Browns’ Halloween night beatdown of the Cincinnati Bengals. Everyone was pumping up the Bengals coming into this one – even without Ja’Marr Chase – but our fearless leader knew all along that the Browns were the side here. With Deshaun Watson’s return on the horizon, Cleveland has a realistic shot to make the postseason (and they better hope it happens because once Watson’s salary really kicks in next season, they’re going to be in a really tough spot moving forward). Later, J-Mac shares his thoughts on the Baltimore Ravens’ acquisition of All-Pro linebacker Roquan Smith ahead of Tuesday’s NFL Trade Deadline. While the linebacker position isn’t close to the glamour position it’s been in year’s past, this trade should have huge playoff implications. The Ravens know if they’re going to make the Super Bowl they’ll need to go through Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen – two quarterbacks who do most of their damage off-script and outside of the pocket. If Smith can corral those two when it matters most, the Ravens could wind up representing the AFC in the Super Bowl.
