Shares of Nvidia (NVDA) soared in late trading after the chipmaker at the heart of the artificial intelligence boom gave a bullish sales outlook for 2028, easing concerns that an AI spending surge is losing momentum. “We expect to grow revenue by approximately 70% in fiscal 2028,” Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress said during a post-earnings conference call. Analysts have projected a rise of about 45% for that year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Moreover, Nvidia would be growing even faster if it had access to more supplies, she said. “Incredibly, we are seeing demand acceleration even at our scale,” she said. “Customers’ forecasts point to our growth doubling next year.” 
Shares of Crowdstrike (CRWD) rose Wednesday on a strong financial report that saw it forecast revenue figures for the full year that exceeded analysts’ estimates, evidence that the cybersecurity industry continues to see demand driven by threats from artificial intelligence. Revenue for the third quarter will be as high as $1.53 billion, the Austin-based security software firm said in a statement Wednesday. Analysts, on average, estimated $1.52 billion, according to estimates compiled by Bloomberg. The company forecast annual revenue of $5.99 billion to $6.01 billion, ahead of estimates of $5.94 billion. 
Shares of Salesforce (CRM) soared in extended trading, after the software company gave an outlook for strong revenue expansion and deepened its partnership with Anthropic PBC, reassuring investors that it can compete successfully in the AI era. Sales will be about $11.5 billion in the fiscal third quarter, which ends in October, Salesforce said Wednesday in a statement. That’s just ahead of analysts’ average estimates, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Current remaining performance obligations — a measure of future sales — will increase about 14%, also ahead of the average estimate of 13% growth.

Key parts of the deal, disclosed in a court filing Wednesday, require the company to put new guardrails on its platforms, including restricting how much time youths can scroll and preventing them from switching off certain safety settings without parental consent.

Investors are eagerly awaiting Nvidia’s numbers for clues on what they mean to the artificial-intelligence trade and the market itself. Analysts project that revenue nearly doubled from a year ago, which would be the fastest pace in two years, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
Shares of Revolution Medicines Inc. (RVMD) gained in the Wednesday session after the FDA approved the firm’s once-daily tablet for adults with metastatic pancreatic cancer, the first medicine to target one of the key molecular causes of the disease. The drug, which will be called Rasonque, is one of the more significant breakthroughs in pancreatic cancer in years. In a final stage trial published in May, daraxonrasib nearly doubled typical survival time for patients with an aggressive form of the disease to 13.2 months, compared with 6.7 months for patients who received chemotherapy, the current standard of care, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.

Meta Gains on Settlement, Nvidia Dips Ahead of Earnings, RevMed Rallies on FDA Approval

Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) shares soar. Abercrombie & Fitch shares jump as much as 30% to trade at their highest intraday level since January 2025 after the apparel retailer raised its adjusted earnings per share guidance for the full year.

-J M Smucker (SJM) raised its full-year outlook for sales and profit, buoyed by growth in its Uncrustables sandwiches and coffee. The packaged food company said it now expects adjusted earnings per share for fiscal 2027 of between $10.50 and $11.00, up from its prior estimate of $9.75 to $10.25. Smucker expects net sales to fall 1% to 2%, an improvement over its previous forecast of a decline of 3% to 4%. 

-Zoom Communications (ZM) shares fall. The software company’s second-quarter results were seen as mixed. It also gave outlooks for adjusted third-quarter earnings and operating income that were weaker than expected.
