On this episode of Stock Movers:

-Canada Goose (GOOS) shares fall. The company was downgraded to underweight from overweight at Wells Fargo Securities as it sees weather and tariffs weighing on the parka maker’s full-year earnings. Analyst Ike Boruchow notes that Canada Goose faces increasing macroenvironmental risks like the 50% tariffs the US put on Canada.

-Steel Dynamics (STLD). US and Canadian metals, lumber, automotive and retail stocks are moving on Monday as Canada is set to apply counter-tariffs on $20 billion of US products on Sept. 8 after the US implemented a new 50% tax on imports of hundreds of Canadian items.

-Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) shares fall. Shares of companies involved in artificial intelligence infrastructure are falling in the latest example of heavy volatility in the group, as investors debate whether the group’s year-to-date strength has outpaced a positive fundamental backdrop.
